OK.I see is very hard to start this one. So i want to propose 2 options and vote one of them and get the game going. Settings i think are fine like the last game.
First is the standar mirored.
second involve more work for bob and is like this
Bob creates the map, and checks so everyone had a chanse to win and not very powerfull starts for some. gave us the screnshot start for everyone, and we can pick a tile were we want to have a special thing from :
- all the resources(not improved just the resources)
-unique feature
- a town or the best update for pirate cove(this one ca be just in water).
In this case map is at bob discretion but if he can mix some islands and other stuff will be just great.
So lets vote.
I vote second.

Classic salesman technique: limit the customer to two choices, and make him pick between them.
I'd like Bob to generate a reasonably balanced, non mirrored, map. Picking a special feature is a cute idea, but it seems like it adds some balancing issues for Bob.

I just want game to start.
Its not Bob duty to balance the stuff which people will chose. And i think people can balance theyr start chosing a feature or improvment depending on what civ they chose.

I just want to the game to start too, and it seems that just letting Bob make a map with balanced BFCs and enforced SIP is the quickest if we don't want a mirrored map.

I have had a very busy week so haven't been able to comment.
I agree with what Dave said earlier:

Mirrored is also fine if Bob feels lazy.

Okay, so is my mandate to simply generate something I think looks fun, as long as it's "reasonably balanced" and not mirrored? I can do that, but want to be sure that everyone is on board first. No need to rush, I won't be able to get to this until Friday anyway.

That's how I understood it.

That's fine, I'm also in favor of enforcing SIP and having that decision influence the mapmaking process.
