Well, with that leader/civ combo, it was inevitable. The question is, can it be sustained or is the combo just completely broken?

I have to admit, I don't understand building the great wall. Is he out of useful builds?

Don't want to diminish SDs contribution, but he also got a dedicated dedlurker in OH.

Not sure why SD told GKC his plans honestly. I know GKC has ded lurked SD a few times, but GKC isn't letting that stop him from passing on information that benefits his chances of winning (nor should he).

So, SD finally pays proper attention to a game, gets a serious dedlurker, gets into a leading position ... and is likely to get to get hoist by the diplo petard he himself asked for.

I know he sometimes complains about the RNG, but I'm beginning to think he's right and the universe enjoys toying with him .

If he just Ds up and does some infrastructure he will probably be fine. Really hard to get that many players to commit to a plan with serious forces at a specific time.

Little less than half of his empire is on infrastructure builds, but I think those are his newly acquired cities.

I do find it odd that TBW is working with Raskol. Literally everyone else vs SD makes sense, but TBW has literally all game been against Raksol from that early Stonehenge. Meanwhile while they are doing the heavy lifting of slowing SD down, GKC is getting a free ride.... I almost feel bad for SD; almost.

I'm surprised we haven't seen anyone renig on a deal with SD at some point. Someone mentioned early in their thread that since Diplo games aren't played much anymore meaning it might be more beneficial to renig on NAP / other deals. I'm not saying its chivalrous...... Not sure what deal led Cairo to giving SD 1K gold, but as he was one of the people who didn't concede it is super confusing to me.

Also, curious why GKC is feeding TBW instead of Raskol. Raskol seems like they would have a better shot.

Hmm, superdeath is talking about building units, but his F1 screen is full of infra builds and wealth etc. Just based on the quick glance it seems like his economy is in a totally dominant position, but his military is #3 in the game. And actually Raskol has a clear soldier point lead. Losing space race should not be SD's worry or whether he can reach relevant military techs, but you can't convert even a strong economy into an army in a single turn if his neighbors decide to come in and ruin the day. So why not build units in pretty much every single city starting immediately and until he has the biggest army as well?

It can be so that NAP situation gives SD enough time here (I have not followed closely enough), but this game is not in the bag until he can defend a dogpile.

EDIT: Looking at the other threads, it seems that diplo situation between other players is so messy that SD is not in a real worry, and actually can just build universities and spaceship parts

So I had interpreted that he was going to build a bunch of rifles once he researched it (I assumed he had some pre-queued behind some of his builds). But NOPE, this turn screenshot shows 1 rifle........
edit: and 2 cav, but still........ I agree everything that isn't new should probably have at least 1 round going atm.
