oh, once you're in you will need to unpause the game. "Pause" key on your keyboard, if you have one (not sure what otherwise, I think you can press F1 and on window appearing there should be an unpause button in the bottom right ?)

Yep, but only do that once all actions are done to your and Commodore's satisfaction. As you are last one it will advance the turn.
