CH offered this generous peace
But I declined. If I peace out, then he'll move all his units back to the Mongolia front in time for that peace treaty to wear off, invade, take a few cities, then peace out and turn back to me.

Peace offers every turn, first asking 3 cities, then 2, then 500 gold. No thanks!

Maybe he'll decide to attack me instead, I think that would be the wiser move for him, but maybe thousands of years of peace override that.
I'll be totally honest: I considered it! But I didn't feel like I could hold any territory I took from you due to geography. That is, I was pretty sure CH would just hit me where my army wasn't.
I am sorry for signing peace with CH. At the time, there were no remaining avenues of attack for me. I was hoping that the multi-front war would make it too hard for CH to defend all angles, but I just didn't have enough Knights to keep throwing at Rifles, and you and Rome didn't seem to be making any gains. So I thought I'd take what I could and get out. I did pay you for that city though because I appreciated your many turns of cooperation and peace.
Maybe if we had tried to swarm CH earlier we might have got him, but you were in so many constant wars it never seemed like we had a chance to team up. Overall, I'm glad our nations worked together, and I'm just sorry I had to throw you under the bus at the end.
On another note, I do think it's hilarious how you freaked out about my scout at the start of the game, and how you assumed it was Gavagai calling the shots back then.

The game is over? Oh well!
I had fun and hopefully learned something.
It was a pleasure being your neighbor, Whosit.

Oh, you did "play" the turn? Did you accept peace/would you have ever accepted?

Satisfaction. That resettling is certifiably crazy.
Sometimes it's worth losing just to prove a point. If I was the primary turnplayer and someone pulled that move on me I would have to decide immediately whether it was more fun to me to try to win or to educate the dumb sod that decided to build his house overhanging my property line. It's not like my neighbor's tree just drops limbs into my yard. That thing is so close that his septic drains out in a spray directly onto my kitchen window.
Burn the fucking thing. Then burn the next one. Then salt the whole field.
