With all due respect to your great civ, Ruff, but be careful with this claim. Nuking my uranium would not help you much slowing me down, as I can instantly reconnect it to continue using it. Also you finishing Manhattan, unlocks nukes and bomb shelters for everyone. I figure I could have 3-4 ICBMs in the 2 turns after Manhattan come in. Playing on, we could have tested that out.
Besides, why would you start nuking me anyway?

Actually - as I just found out in another game - you wouldn't be able to reconnect because of the Fallout ... which can't be scrubbed away until Ecology.

Well, firstly, you have to complete the tech (so maybe I target your science cities first) and then you would have had to build the units (hammer cities next).

Maybe we can retire that silly green civ and you and I can play a few rounds to test it.

Why? If this vote didn't go through, then the only way I can block any future votes would be to reduce your number of votes ... quickest method, reduce your population.

Edit:

Well - that seals it. No nukes for mh unless Dreylin trades him uranium (which would be a breach of our agreement).

I have Fission in 5-6 turns. I assume one can chop and slave nukes and have prepared loads of pre chopped forests and all those UN votes would have been whipped. Stealing Democracy for Universal Suffrage rush buying was also considered. The fallout thing would have been nasty, agreed, but you can't be 100% certain that your nuke would have launched first.
Anyway, Dreylin builds the UN and because of your NAP with him, you will have to nuke me to have a chance on winning. bang
That's the same as selling your best tanks to the Civ you are trying to beat in the end game. At that point this game made no more sense for me, hence the quick option out.

335 hammer nukes is a lot of chopping and slaving.
