![]() why does azza always let us gain EP advantage so easily? That was a big problem for him in pb8 as well. Having tech visibility on him here will be very useful, just as it was in pb8. Im pretty sure this is the right move, founding a religion here will be so so useful! ![]()

I presume he's saving gold though, so we should keep an eye on it. I think its unlikely that others will rush to it so desperately, but it may be best to guarantee landing it anyway.

But if he's researching currency, then he's not researching construction, which means we can keep up the peaceful tech a bit longer. its more relevant for what we research after COL - if we can go towards calender and the religious techs we will need once we have a religion, instead of detouring to construction or horseback riding, thats a big win! ![]()

I think IW first to determine iron might be in our best interest.

I know he wasn't going there, my two points are unrelated.
I agree with IW.

So our new city is BaconBacon. It raised our maintenance enough that I had to switch BACON's build from the worker to wealth. This is fine. We do not desperately need that worker as we are working all improved tiles and every city has tiles to grow onto. Even the new city is working a FP hamlet and BAcon has swapped off to a Grassriver cottage instead.
![]() I can see into Azza's city now. He has an axe and a spear. The city has a monument and a library. I can't tell if he has barracks too. In any case he is definitely putting a bunch into culture there. I'm hoping that BaconBacon gets the Holy city so that it can put pressure on the crabs and eventually steal it. Next turn we whip the settler out of bacon. In the north, the rice farm has been finished and we'll start roading toward the next city in the west. I have 4 workers up there so I'll split them up to do more cottaging as well as the roading. I'll have one go the the forest by BaconWrap and chop/farm that as well. I'm really glad to have that W3 axe up there to protect the cities and workers. Demos: ![]() Yay. #1 GNP by a longshot. We were #1 in food before I swapped Bacon off the rice farm and back onto a hamlet. MFG is getting better too. Military, I feel safe. Land area is back up with the new city. However we will jack up to #1 in land area in 2turns when Bacon!'s borders pop. We are currently tied with Azza in cities and ahead of Scoopin by 1 and ahead of jestacore by 2.

So just a quick update. Whipped settler. 4 more turns.

yay.
I know about counting chickens before they hatch and all that, but whats our plan for the great prophet? I guess the advantage of temple of artemis is we don't have to research priesthood.. but a SPI temple is so much easier to build than TOA w/o marble whats more valuable.. beakers or hammers?

I need to check the cost ToA again, but at this point, with our tech rate, I think it might be faster to simply tech to Priesthood ASAP and whip a temple somewhere and run that priest until we get it. And considering the need to get the GPpoints moving ASAP, we might beeline PH instead of IW. We don't technically need IW yet. Getting to priesthood should only take 5 turns.
