Werewolf 2 Lurker Thread: Spoilers!

Irgy Wrote:I didn't see any of the "acrimony" as excessive, out of place or even unusual. It's just part of the nature of the game. We're roleplaying a bunch of paranoid villagers being murdered one by one and who's only course is to in turn burn each other to death. There's going to be some heated arguments. You just have to not take it to heart.

Please, death by hanging, not burning at the stake, get it right lol . Though I suppose I could whip up something about witches/warlocks instead if you wanted burnings?

Thats funny when I think of the death of witches/warlocks I think of being drowned and if you lived you are a witch butm if you die you are a villager.

Serdoa Wrote:And that I find utterly unfair against me. I have defended the wolves more and took more blame for it then anyone else this game. You sound like I lost the wolves the game and that is - from my point of view - simply not true. I had my part in it but making it sound like I was the sole reason I think is not accurate.

And by all the blame you took you still survived wink and I think partly because I defended you in PM's/Mails. Besides how did you know it were wolves you defended?

But you are right it was not you alone that lost the game for us and I'm not that angry about the scooter-kill (I expected a switch because simply Lewwyns arguments were so strange that I was sure nobody could believe them) but the fact that you didn't bother to contact any wolf at all and that with 2 scried wolfs in the game.

scooter and Roland have hit it quite rightly here . In short IMO you were the best choice. The one endgame-lynch which might have gone differently was the Dantski-lynch where I first favored to lynch Lewwyn but later decided to agree with Irgy. I doubt it would have made a difference in the outcome.

The level of acrimony certainly did not help matters. As a first experience with WW/Mafia type games, this certainly does not inspire any desire for another.
I find it sad that you won't play. IMO you were the best villager and I really liked your posts thumbsup.

Well I'm glad. I had fun. Sounds like most people did (Sry hap).

Roland Wrote:I will say Rowain slipped off my trusted list around Day 3 - his absolute hatred of me from that point onward was a pretty good indicator to me that something was going on behind the scenes, regarding my move against Selrahc.

You mean I nudged you too hard to kill Selrahc wink? About Meiz in one of your PM's you said: If Meiz turns out a villager you eat a Bloke of wood so don't tell me you had so many doubts wink.

You were great on day 1 where you sat back, thinking everything through and then made your epic entry. But once you joined the secret network and started to act as spokesman you completly lost it. You got extremly emotional outthinking yourself and there were times were i really feared the game might hurt you.

Serdoa Wrote:- I don't understand why Sandover claimed Seer on Day 1 with nearly the same words as PB. If I would have played villager, I would have voted for him.

I claimed baner, not seer. With such a bandwagon going against me I surely needed to try something, and I almost survived the day because of it.

Another thing about us wolves:

We didn't coordinate our votes. Everyone voted what he thought best. I don't know if this did help us to survive that long or not. On the negative side we had several lynches that might have been avoidable (sandover, uberfish) on the other side the village lacked good targets and lynched Roland which IMO is the most baffling thing to happen in this game.

Lewwyn Wrote:I also wanted to address the acrimony in the thread. From my point of view it seemed that a lot of the fighting was between me and Serdoa/scooter (of course from my POV smile), but considering the outcome that I was right (at the time rolleye) that they were in fact WW/possessed I don't see how that could have truly been avoided. Maybe I was too heated? I'm not sure, Scooter, Serdoa?

I don't think so Lewwyn. I think you are right that it was simply the roles which led to some fighting. I pretty much had to get in several fights because of my role, at least how I understood it. I had to go against the village not only in votes but also verbally because I was the only one who could without needing to fear he get lynched because getting lynched wouldn't be such a bad thing in my case.

And I agree with Rowain, the worst play was for sure me not contacting the wolves. You might have not trusted me at all, but at least at the day scooter was on the chopping block, you would have told me and I could have saved him :/ Sorry for losing the game.

This is a too much to say. In all honesty I can't give you all the blame we and the play of the villagers had it's share on the outcome too.

If anything it only shows why evil always loses: They don't trust each other while the good boys did trust without any good reason in this game.

During the whole game I couldn't believe how trusting some of the inner circle were.

Thanks for the positive thoughts, although coming from a wolf I am not quite sure how to take that. lol

The game turned out to be a much bigger time-sink than I had expected. Keeping up with the thread, thinking through previous votes and deciding how to rank everyone on my "probable fur-n-fangs" list, occasionally posting some thoughts. Most of the players were more active than I was, many much more so. I don't know where they found the time.
