Now - before everyone laughs too much ... answer me this question ... what would you do in this situation, with those units facing that enemy?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Is there a risk that WPC just give up on the war?

Not attack at all? But when fighting a peer (or near-peer) enemy, staying concentrated is the most important factor. If this is how WPC fought in the first war, then I can easily understand how the Germans defeated them.
However, the Germans have interior lines here, and should be able to easily reinforce Wesselburen, but WPC's mini-stack has no chance of doing anything against Warendorf. Though the poor German road network helps them, as the Germans can't put a stack 2NW of Warendorf to quickly reinforce either city.
The main question is how we are to move Ruff Going, and going 1N is the only real option that I can see. The mini-stack haven't moved this turn. If it moves to the cow, then the Germans will kill it next turn without any trouble. If it moves eastwards, then our war chariot is alone on the tile.
So 1N is the only safe alternative. I'm in-game and trying to chat with WPC, but they haven't responded yet.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Unify my stack, take my lumps, and whip more units. Splitting apart like that is asking for trouble, and they're giving the Germans more time to get more units.

WPC's idiocy only leaves us with one move for our chariot, staying with the rest of their stack and moving north:
I honestly can't get over how stupid these guys are. After all that effort, they split their army and ran it backwards towards strategically useless cities in the tundra. And meanwhile, every turn that WPC farts around doing nothing, the Germans get more time to whip out units. Yikes. At this point, the Germans can counter-invade Great Plains if they want, and there's little WPC can do to stop them. Jesus Christ, I thought they would at least take out ONE city for us! Now it's doubtful that they'll even do that. These guys are absolutely terrible.
To answer what I would do in this situation: there's little chance of hiding an incoming stack because of the cultural borders and local terrain. So you may as well assemble and move right in. Use the tile northwest of Great Plains as the staging tile, move in T150, move next to Warendorf T151, and attack the city T152. They could have captured the city this turn, or at least forced a battle to defend it. Instead, WPC did that useless movement around through the north, where their units were visible every single turn, and are now delaying the attack even further, granting the defender innumerable time to amass a response force. There is no possible way that a stack of one-movers is ever going to reach its target before the defending one-movers can get there along their own road network. WPC is begging to get cleaned up in detail. If they had gone in this turn, they had a decent chance to do SOMETHING!
Goddammit.

I agree this is a tactical disaster for WPC, but do remember that we're getting (so far) the best possible German response to our own invasion. WPC is basically the shiny twisting lure and we're the hook at this point. What more could we ask for?
Just hope the Germans don't recalculate how much defense is needed in the North and send half their dudes running for Webringen!

Well, we could curse at them in a forum that they can't see or we could give them a proposed gameplan to win faster/better.
I don't think they would mind as they want cities and they would be less bitter towards us after the war because 'WPC had to fight the whole German army while RB waltzed in and took their cities undefended.'

Well, the best possible move for us was WPC moving in their army and trading most of it for most of the German army in a bloodbath next turn, the way we thought would happen. Instead, I expect that the Germans will move much of their forces south at this point, because there's no need to leave them up there to defend. Here's how stupid WPC's move was: they cannot be in a position to hit any German cities until T155. Not even one! There is literally zero threat to any German possessions for the next two turns as a result of this move.
This well might be the worst tactical move I've ever seen from a human player.

Worse than a stack of Praets insta-teleporting out of your borders??
