If it's safe, we should use the WC like they ask for goodwill purposes.

It is - that chariot is at 0.2 health, and we can move back at once to the main WPC stack.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

yeah I think we should kill the evil chariot in this case as well.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

No, we can't take out that redlined German chariot because our own war chariot has already moved this turn. Here's a picture of the area:

I didn't have our war chariot on top of the big WPC stack last turn. Why have it sit there and get hit with all that collateral damage? I moved it a tile east, where it was in WPC territory last turn. Then, as soon as we could log into the game this turn, I moved it back onto the WPC stack for vision on Warendorf. Note that we have 1/2 movement available. We're not attacking that German chariot.

Of course, because we stayed out of the massive slaughter on both sides, we can do this instead:

We have 90% odds to kill a C1 / Shock war elephant inside Warendorf. Better use of the war chariot than killing a German chariot, no? biggrin

WPC did rather poorly on their attack from what I can see. They lost 3 swords, 3 catapults, 1 chariot, and 4 archers to kill 1 elephant, 1 longbow, and 1 spear. If we kill the war elephant, we'll be close to equaling their success this turn. WPC may take this city with their second wave, but they have very little chance to capture any other cities in this war. Fortunately, they've either killed or redlined every German unit up in the northeast, and that's a good result for us.

Just write them back and tell them that we're killing a war elephant in Warendorf instead of killing that unimportant chariot. I'll be looking to play our own turn on Livestream in about four or five hours.

Draft to WPC:

Draft to WPC Wrote:Beta,

We have already used 1/2 of our movement on that chariot, so we cannot attack it and then retreat onto your stack. However, we can actually do a little better than that. We have a 90% shot on one of their nasty redlined war elephants (C1/Shock) sitting in Warendorf, and we're going to take it. That thing would be really nasty if it promoted again and healed, so wish us luck smile.

Down south we will advance on the capital Webringen this turn, and we hope to attack it next turn. The western cities should fall easier after that, because they are concentrating their defense around their capital.

Thanks,

Input welcome. I don't plan to delay this more than a couple hours.

Seems good to me. We'll take all the goodwill we can get, to bank against the eventuality of us taking all their nice things.

Maybe take out the first sentence; not sure they know or need to know we didn't help absorb collateral.

Otherwise good.

I kinda want WPC to kill all but one unit in the city and then we swoop in and take it with the chariot lol

Yeah yeah not helpful to the discussion but the idea amused me.

Looks like diplo message was little bit too late (I don't see new message in Tracking thread so I assume draft wasn't sent). We might as well mention that we saw opportunity to kill elephant for 90%, and that we decided doing so would have proved more helpful though it hadn't turned out well.

Yeah sorry, I got tied up at work and didn't get a chance to send it before the turn. That said, now that we've played & ended turn, it's not like the timing actually matters (they won't be able to even log in for at least a day), so I went ahead and sent it as-is despite the chariot luck. I'll send a follow-up message later tonight.
