Germans have played a C+ game overall - the WPC war was brutal, but they handled the dogs fairly well considering, especially when no one else was really fighting because that kind of attack was crazy for WPC. And between drawing us to the south and crazies to the east, they were just stuck.
WPC will outlive them, but only at our sufferance - their game is a D. I guarantee that if the two teams were switched on the map, we'd have allied with the Germans to roll over WPC now without a second thought, and be in better shape for it.
Spanish get an F - they've been awful the entire time. I don't know how they play so much Pitboss to have their own mod, and still have played the way they did.

i suspect the mod author and the turn players are not the same person.

A closed community go a long time without learning anything new. It is quite conceivable that Spanish 'poly' played many games with essentially the same players over the years, making the same mistakes and following the same patterns, and genuinely thought they were at the top of the Civ 4 mp pyramid, simply because as a Spanish language site they were more closed than the various English sites (vagaries of the geography of language).
How often have we seen on RB a new-ish face coming into a game and showing us something that the community would not have thought of previously (either in MP or in the Epics/Adventures)? I'm willing to bet that RB is much more open to new entries than Spanish 'poly' (not saying that the Spanish speakers are deliberately exclusionary, but again we come back to the point that an English site will have a wider audience than a site in any other language), thus giving us a large leg up in range of experience, especially if the Spaniards (yes, I know not all of them will be literally from Spain) don't regularly interact in other Civ fora.

Also, for what it's worth, we're probably the exception in terms of civ forums for so openly and thoroughly posting about our ongoing MP games. While I do think bringing in new members is probably important as well, I think the biggest reason for our rate of learning new things is probably that everyone posts so openly about the games that are being played.

Meh, I rather have WPC dog pile us than the Germans and I would not have wanted to start next to another crazy warmonger team like in PB4.
I think we drew a really good spot, next to the victims of the crazy team and next to a team that actually diplos.

Maybe the Germans are trying to do to wpc what we threatened civplayers with - knock the weak team out of the dogpile. Now wpc don't seem likely to pull out, but how bad would it be for us if they did?
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

Well, if WPC pulls out without our consent, we have a perfect casus belli to swallow them next. At least that option was discussed here.
I think it unlikely, though. I think WPC expects us to help them capture a few cities on "their" side of the German lands, once our armies meet up.
How we handle this, is not yet decided, I think.

Not too bad - the Germans still have plenty of units, but they're pretty banged up still, and have already promo-healed. That said, we would probably have to bring the knights back to our main stack, since we wouldn't like the knights to be hit by catapults and elephants.
With the exception of Wien all the remaining German cities are on flat land, so the going should be easier from now on.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
