Thanks!
Pyramids were absolutely crucial for me this game. I think up until maybe 10 turns ago I had more beakers accumulated from Representation specialists than all other sources combined I was bouncing around 0gpt all game, and came within 1 turn of strike with negative gpt for multiple turns at one point before Currency, and after Currency there was another stretch where I would have been in strike except for wealth builds.

Finally.

Other than SaC issues did people like playing sequential? What did people think of it?
Edit: also did people like the pick method?

Eh.. id rather just do the normal and deal with the 1 turn issue per pitboss.
Not a fan. Might have been more of a map issue tho. I didnt mind my combo, but... eh, the map had alot i didnt care for.

I loved sequential and will never play another simultaneous game. The stress of always having to be prepared for a double move on the turn before war declaration in sequential is just too much. I like being able to plan out the tactics knowing that my enemy will always only be able to have 1 turn of movement, and not sometimes 2 turns and sometimes 0. Forget about the fact that being the "nice guy" means always giving my rivals an edge in sequential, I can handle that and don't at all mind taking first in turn order. What I don't like is never knowing if my rival is going to make 0, 1, or 2 moves before I play again in an "uneasy peace" scenario ... which is much of the game on one front or another.
Pick method I hated initially, but after rolling Pericles (my top overall pick) was OK with, and after T0 was happy taking Arabia for a test drive, and by T50 I was thoroughly enthusiastic about the pick method pushing me towards the game that was playing out!

I thought sequential was great except it makes coordinating forces with allies a lot more difficult. I suspect that will be easy to overcome with experience. 6 players might have been 1 too many for a turn-a-day, but that just might have been SaC

I'll say as on onlooker that I was pretty impressed with the turn pace all things considered and it makes me want to try a similar format
