Add in, say, 40 water tiles and that's about 210 tiles that are "mine", which means I should be able to expand to about 220-230 or so... or get to mine and then start building military to take someone elses, of course. That's between 10 and 20 cities. Quite the build fest. Thanks for the calculations lol, I tried to make it around 175 tiles per person, so looks like I succeeded.

Looks like.
I can't tell whether I prefer lush maps like this one or less lush, like, say, PB47. In PB47, I planted at least one city without any food at all. I mean, this is more fun, but the less lush maps have their own real challenges.

My idea of lush is skewed since badgame PB13....

Every turn, I find more food. I'm not complaining, mind you. Lotta food, though.
SD should be happy.

i'll admit to being slightly disappointed when I didn't find more food after moving onto the spice. I guess my expectations are a little skewed!!!
I think borders pop next turn, plus I move onto a hill, so a lot more to see soon!! Plus, barb animals should be showing up.

Turn 5
Exploration
Well, this is momentous
More land (corn to the east, rice right here) and more luxes - gems, yet another doubler I hope this is the case for everyone, GKC!! I kind of like it - a nice way to create a lush map and still give everyone a big FU
That said, all the water implies I'm either on my own island or up in the NW corner of a map.
Scout going to continue south a bit, but needs to swing around soon.
Demos
hey! everyone has forested deer!! look ma!! all the demos are exactly the same now!!
Barbs
None yet, but animals should be starting up.
Animals run until A) turn 25 passes and B) 4 people settle city #2 (technically, it's when there are 1.5* # players, but no one is going to settle 2 more cities before half the game settles their 2nd).

Turn 6
Tech
6 people got a tech this turn, all but Jowy and Gavagai. No one went up in power, so I guess everyone picked up agriculture (Jowy and Gavagai are the ones who started with agri besides me)
Exploration
More food!! clam (arrow) and bananas. I believe this jungle belt is 1/2 between me and my southern opponent.
I put out some preliminary city sites. The western point is complicated. There are 2 ways to do it that I can see - Red is easiest, but I end up with 1 city getting 2 food sources (which isn't horrible, but I am kind of hoping for 1-1 between city/food, to maximize my whipping queues). the blue ones are more efficient for food, but one of the cities can't be founded until another one is, cause it wouldnt' have food without expansion. Still, really too early to give a real dot map.
Demos
Not much to say.

someone definitely has fish hooked up now - top food is 5. More food and dyes pics on a later turn - I have to recover my dropbox first.
