[PB70] Lurking under the tables

I think Bing just saw a worker and thought 'ooh!' Nothing more complicated than that, which is why he was fine giving it back. As a more casual player, that's all pretty reasonable imo (even in my serious games, I think I'd probably have had the same thought process).
Past Games: PB51  -  PB55  -  PB56  -  PB58 (Tarkeel's game)  - PB59  -  PB60  -  PB64  -  PB66  -  PB68 (Miguelito's game)     Current Games: None (for now...)

I have no idea why anyone is assuming this is anything other than Bing just taking each turn as unique.

It was obvious that a player leaving it exposed was a mistake, and El Grillo admitted that the worker was unsaveable. Oh well, I support reloading to the start of T64 to fix this mess.

The Worker was in the way of the quickest path for his Skirmisher towards Charriu's city, and harassing the city was his goal all along.

I forgot about the pending switch to sequential that Mjmd just pointed out in his thread. Does our solution still work in light of that, or do we need to make another one now?

Charriu seems upset, but I'm going to leave it.

If he was really happy to lose the worker to save the city then I think that's a different story. But thats not what came across to me

No, the switch to sequential will cause a double move, so it will have to wait until after this conflict, or be resolved in other ways. Really, Bing should have had us swap over when he sent that skirmisher away to harass.

Maybe he was? But that might not be a reasonable outcome, given that Bing may not have done anything wrong, was only alerted to the issue because of a comment from MJMD, who may not have known about what actually occurred, and the only way to "save the city" (or at least avoid the risk of it being attacked) was to take advantage of Bing's sportsmanship in offering to return the worker by duping him. I would expect we would want to encourage sportsmanship, not discourage it. If this went on without the reload, would we expect Bing to try to seek an equitable solution next time? Or Rules Lawyer?

From the discord; when Bing replayed T64 he moved forward without declaring war (because there wasn't a worker there to capture), so when the turn rolled he got pushed back by culture. As he states clearly, he wouldn't have declared before entering borders, so all is fine.
