Not yet :P
Also scooter built the GLH 8 turns before I would have so that changes things. Fortunately it was before I put any production it it so it’s not too big of a loss. All those chops are going into the pyramids now

I'm afraid that I haven't caught it, but I do have a question: What's the reasoning behind Coyoacan's placement?

So the thing about dotmapping this start is that Hampstead just has way too much food, especially for the early game 2 7f tiles + 1 6f + 1 5f is just ridiculous and would mean I would have to stop working some of them to avoid going beyond the happiness cap. The western wheat is easy to split off but there is no city location that can grab the eastern corn so that leaves the fish and FP wheat. The only cities that can get those are 3S of Hampstead or 3S 1W where Coyoacan is. The 3S location is on a FP which isn't great but maybe is a slightly better city bc its coastal (and if I had landed GLH definitely would have been). However, Coyacan can start working the grassland gold 15 turns sooner than the other location would which is vital to my research at this phase of the game, including getting to sailing + masonry quickly (tho clearly not as quickly as Scooter's buereau cap)

Also late game it won't hurt that my best 2 commerce cities will be off the coast or in a very defensible cove

Do you think you would have settled it differently?

I probably shouldn't talk too much about this, but it's interesting to see that the start has more options than I envisioned. The plainshills S of it was where I envisioned you settling. You have good points about foodsharing and defenseability though.

Yeah I mean that's clearly the better city in vacuum but it has no first ring food resources and prevents me from settling a second city south of it. Better to have 2 great cities than 1 amazing city IMO

We lurkers recommend swapping over to sequential as soon as is feasible, or at the very least any turn-splits follows the player-id order.
Perhaps conflict is heating up overseas amongst the poor continental barbarians? ?
Hah! Couldn't be me

Here's where our empire stands as of turn 54. 5 Cities, #1 in CY and population, #2 in MFG, #2 in GLH construction
Here's the new economic plan, construction on track for EOT 57:
If we land the pyramids and metal casting research comes in we should get a great engineer for The Kremlin around t80- that's where the communism tech pick should really shine. Seriously 45h base whips are so so strong, especially early in the game.
In the east our workboat is going off to explore:
Hopefully I can meet some friends soon...

Interesting, normally it's completely worthless early but if you rush Kremlin do you see yourself spending any time in Universal Suffrage? Cash rushbuy boosts too.
