In the sense that we've both thrown 60K, plus materials at the same thing, thus yielding one less armour type for the fashion page.

Although . . .

The two different colour schemes could be good to have. smile

Ya, Vanyel might be better off working on the druid set for now, since there is a new areomancer/illusionist, Thin Air, on the rise...

Heh, well it's only 60K and 350 cloth. Aeromancer is the only set with vaguely exotic needs, 35 damask. My monk friend has it worse with the vellum requirements, plus additional pieces for superior rune swapping. I think it was 1200 wood for her single tattoo set.

I'll be buying sets regardless of who else has them. smile I don't plan around the armour page, I plan around how much storage space I have, and what creatures I'll be fighting and whatever tickles my fancy. I meet many ice imps and friends while out capping skills so I'd have made hydro regardless of who already had it. o.oa

You do know about http://www.topolla.net/armor/ right? Or is it RB's wish to only put up screens of people they know?

The trouble with that site is that most of the pics are ugly in a way that pushes the boundaries of ugliness and secondly, I find the writing style to be repetitive and annoying to follow. "If you want blah blah blah, don't panic. You can get blah blah blah at blah blah . . ." It's as if someone's glued used stamps into an old scrapbook, then set a CD player next to it on a repeat loop of a boring recital of the entirety of the stamp collection.

At Realms Beyond you will find presentation will style. thumbsup

Hot damn, I had no idea that site even had text! I just use it for a general reference, just to know what looks like what, what I feel is fugly and not worth my time, etc...

...

I would seriously consider paying Anet for a larger storage space. Seriously. I want a wardrobe box, an armoury box, a rune book to store spare runes for friends/guildies, and a dye box. rant tongue

My mind is boggling at the notiion that Vanyel Ashkevron has yet to acquire his Whites in this game. eek Although the desire for a bigger wardrobe held no surprise at all. nod

Long may the role-playing continue. smoke

I guess warriors have it easy. The only decent looking set of armour available until Droknar's is the ringmail set. Every other set looks like it belongs in a gimp's closet than a battlefield.

Hah, Van's still a whippersnapper in GW. Look, no white hairs! tongue Oh the game is mean to him, he gets little more space than what the original horadric cube gave. It's evil, mean, nasty, it hurts us, Precious! cry

Actually, looking at the dye samples on the toppola site, the Aeromancer set wouldn't reach the levels of whiteness a Pyromancer set would. Back to ye olde drawing board. lol

I'm not sure about looks but there is actual utility for warriors to mix and match their armour for greater advantage. As in the absorption on the Knight's boots applies to the entire body, so add a Superior Absorption rune and you get -5 on all sections of the body.

For example, the general utility outfit for a knock-lock warrior goes something like: Stonefist gloves, Knight's boots, Gladiator's everything else. Oh, and a hammer helm.

I'm lucky I needn't make such decisions on Vanyel to get more bang for buck. *dabs brow* smile

Was under the impression that that was a bug and it was corrected in a patch not so long ago.. May be mistaken, but thats what I was hearing anyway.

Excuse me!!

Look at the Fashion page... Warriors have it best, they have the most variety of armors and all of them look good. On top of that, there's the endless mix and match possiblities for looks and stats. Just look at Jinni at the top of the page, she's so KEWL!

She gets quite a few compliments walking around town in her lounging gear. Thank you very much ;p
