So nice to have a decent turn pace. Work boat done, which is nice, but means we have to figure out where to dump three hammers. Which, um, might wisely be a warrior. Danger, danger!
On the plus side, that PH city looks ever better if we can finagle a quick border pop.

So the sudden peak-line drop off has me worried, and it means that if Ceil is feeling safe, he'll be visiting with his own warrior very soon. So right now I'm favoring the grow to size 3 plan, netting a warrior the turn we hit size 3. Only question is if one of those growth turns is on the deer for 1h overflow, or on the lake for 2 commerce.

Hey Commodore,
I ran a sim and if you build a warrior and work the fish this turn you will grow to size 2, then work the three hammer hill the next turn(turn 7 I think) and then switch hill to the rice for turn 8, if you do that, then you will have a warrior in 2 turns, and then a worker can be built in 5 turns, finishing 1 turn before BW. Or you could work the hill for turn 7 and 8 and get a three hammer overflow into worker. If you wait until you grow to size three (which will take 3 turns), you will not complete the warrior( unless you work the deer, plain thing, which will take you 4 turns to grow). In either case, it will still take you 5 turns to make the worker. But if you work the lake once your size 2, then it will take 4 turns to grow and build a warrior and it will take one less turn to finish BW.
Got all that?

Uh, I think?
Anyway, the "big event" of the turn was this little guy giving us an awesome tile. We're Japan, now with Sushi!
Other seafood is visible too, nice but that's probably Kyan's clam. We're, up, kinda close...I wonder how long the arms are, this is probably a starfish. IF islands, THEN Great Lighthouse, ELSE...other stuff.
We grow tomorrow to size 2, then we need to get 16 food, 7 hammers, and 46 beakers out of this in the next three turns, no problemo guys. When to run Oracle, first settler is the question.
Thoughts?

So what I was saying about the Great Lighthouse...yeah, might be worthwhile. Assuming we don't all die in a violent explosion of ancient-era warfare from the closeness here. Next up, the warrior pokes at Kyanburg.
And for Ceil, we have another warrior in three turns!
Looking good thus far.

It's already turn eight, and we're trucking. Here's what we know of the world thus far. As you can see, Kyan is now working on getting the strong deer tile online, probably on to either Agriculture or Fishing next. AH then Polytheism run, I think, otherwise we will miss the religion.
Need to get eyes on Ceil soon. Depressingly, both Ceil and Kyan are dumping all their EP onto us, which is frustrating. I slid it towards Kyan, as I'm more worried on that front right now.

Looks like someone has a reputation!
Maybe we should send the new warrior out towards Ceil? If he runs into Ceil's approaching warrior then we can turn back or build a new one. I'm worried that they went worker ahead of warrior and we'll be behind on the growth curve unless we harass.

Gah, I don't know why, everyone here this side of GE is better than me. Anyway, yeah, the warrior is going to Ceil to hopefully mess with him a bit. I'm not too badly worried about the growth curve, as the whip will get us the worker only two turns slower than the other method, and get us the second worker only one turn behind, all the while boosting our much-needed tech.
As noticed above, Kyan is working the high-hammer forested plains hill, so I'm cautiously penciling him in for going Fishing first. If it's pumping out several Agg warriors instead, we'll know soon enough I guess.
So, the major choices are still out ahead. Our near-term objective is to get Oracle -> Metal Casing, for two reasons: Cheap forges, and short-circuiting Dazed from doing the same for a Phi Pyramids gambit.
To do so, we need Priesthood. That means, for our intended path, Mysticism -> Polytheism, to set up the Monotheism run next. (OR + Ind + forge the only way to consider early 'mids without stone). We'd like to snag Hinduism, but if not Judaism is fine.
Thing is, we want to expand too. To expand, we need to work the food specials, which means sheep in the two nearest spots. AH is a diversion, but horses will be nice too, so no biggie, but if we are going AH, why not grab Agriculture first (it's also nice for Pottery). That's a lot of techs before going for Hinduism, though, by that point a lot of others will be looking at religion too. It's hard to decide here, because it's almost entirely predicated on what others are going for.

I am cow, hear me moo,
I weigh twice as much as you,
And I look good on the barbeque!
Milk and cheese, sometimes butters,
Come from liquid from my udders,
I am cow, I am cow, I am cow...
So, in addition to finding cow, I also find that we're the biggest city in the world. This might cause a little head-scratching amongst the cloak and dagger people, but no matter. I'm penciling in GE with Fishing as the other size two, and so the other size one would be Dazed.
I waffled a bit on tile assignments. We'll be finishing the worker with a whip in three more turns either way, it's a question of over hammers versus commerce. I can't help but sense to bottleneck ahead is in beakers.
Working lakes nets us an awesome GNP, should let us be a lock for the techs we need. I wanted to do this for a while.
In the end, though, I opted for more hammers, figuring overflow now means an earlier third worker, which might free me up to mine the silver for more efficient beakers later.
I need one of them spreadsheet thingies, I think.

And another turn! Um, how aware do we want Kyan to be of us, anyway? We might be able to have some fun with the Ursa Warrior here, but Kyan is armed with C1 warriors and hills make it dangerously close to a coin-flip for him. I think I still want to be annoying to him, anything to keep him defensive.
In other news, note the land score from mouseover. Counting peaks, we each have 141.8 tiles of land, so probably room enough for seven or so cities on the mainland and several islands each. This is a weird thing for Ramses to say, but maybe I should have taken Stalin.
