It is most fair if everybody borders everybody else, but I would also prefer to have a back line. So how about a cylindrical map with four regions in a brick pattern? Or something similar in spirit, if Commodore has a better idea.
If you know what I mean.

Yeah, it's brick'd. How about water %? Circumnav available?

Let's say this, I'm thinking right now a Monarch cylinder, anyone mind that?
Cross-posted with that, sounds good to me. Maybe no circumnavigation? No strong preference.

New synthesis, also added "No barbarians":
Quote:Civ/Leader Restrictions: Normal snake pick (without seeing our starts). India and Inca banned. All Fin leaders banned. All Exp leaders banned.
Wonder bans: Statue of Zeus.
Spy bans: No spies.
Other bans: Nukes. War Elephants.
Map: Manually mirrored/rotated for four players.
World size: Standard. Cylindrical map with a brick layout.
Difficulty: Monarch
Speed: quick.
Huts, events, tech trading, vassal states all off
Always War
No barbarians.
About the possibility of circumnavigation, I don't mind that being unknown.
I have to run.

Cool. We also need a turn order. I don't know who ought to go first of BGN and Dazed, does this work?
Mackalwe - Novice - BGN - Dazed
Given a turn order of A-B-C-D, the snake pick goes D-C-B-A-A-B-C-D, correct?
I would like Commodore to confirm that the map is (almost) done before doing the snake pick, so we don't get any dilemmas with map maker decisions affecting the value of the players' picks.
I'll get started on the tracker account, I think all your emails are floating around somewhere on the forum.

Weekdays I'm pretty flexible. I have a tendency to play turns at work. Weekends, usually I play in the morning. US EST.

Dazed, you can have your preference and I'll take the other slot. This is my penance for the good cop, bad cop routine from 29.
