What do you mean we got stuck with corn over pigs?
Seriously, a great capital. 3 Hammer plant plus working the 3 hammer plains hill will give us 2 bonus hammers on workers and workboats. We have to wait for the culture to expand, obviously, but we really get to leverage expansive here.

I'm very interested to see how your sim turns out given the bonus hammers, particularly whether WB or worker wins out. I'd also take gems as well as pigs.
I'll be out of town this weekend, but I'll be able to contribute more.

The following passage is written in the Khravgad Khiva, the Zen-Buddhist book about Civ IV:
Thou that hast a plains hill in the center
Shall hast a city infinitely better
Interpreting this passage, monk Takuan Soho said the following:
"This precept is base in the holy law of the small pebble that starts the avalanche. Two hammers today are worth less than a hammer yesterday. So spoke the RNG, the god that watches us all".
---
And I wonder what they think about settling on a plains hill marble...

Just so everyone knows, I'm not roleplaying Musashi here. Shaka is Musashi. I'm Hon'iden Matahachi, Musashi's childhood friend that follows him through life, always failing to accomplish things due to lack of effort.
As you can see, Matahachi spent the whole weekend having fun and didn't make any sim attempts. It looks like his bad habits still get the best of him.

Unfortunately, this is a tough week for me. Future in-law visiting, covering for vacationing boss, weekend travel, you name it. If you can't get sims done tonight, I'll have some time tomorrow night to build a sandbox.
I think it's pretty clear that we're going to be moving onto the marble T0, so at least we'd have a 48-60 hours more to come up with a sim for T1 and beyond.

And its probably good sense to move the scout too, for most information possible. I'm thinking 1NE to the hill 2N. Only other option is NE-SE.
Edit: I am discounting exploring west, maybe too much.

Agreed about being obvious to move to the marble. I did it and moved the scout NE-SE, revealing no new resources. The password for the game is "Musashi" (with a capital M). Feel free to log in and take a look whenever you want.
Don't worry about a sandbox. I'll cook something up today and share it with you.

By the way, the tile 1W of the corn is freshwater grassland. So we can irrigate the corn without farming any of the Capital grass tiles. Nothing big, but just interesting. So, the water to the west is actually a lake, not the ocean. Hopefully we find a good Moai spot down there.

I logged in a few times to check things out. Interestingly, before micro discussion, that desert hill 3 N is irrigated.
I tried to run some numbers; amateur spreadsheet-er that I am. I somewhat lean worker-first with Agri is still better, at least for the first 25 turns. The best I end up doing is at start of T25, we are size 4 with corn farmed, one mine, 2 wb, and 1 Warrior. We would be at 16 foodhammers for a Settler (7 turns) and 18 for a Worker (4 turns). This requires that we go Agri-Mining, after that point, the Worker doesn't have much to do, so we'd have to go wheel or farm a grassland for the worker to be productive. I imagine we would go BW since we don't need AH to improve those pigs you found.
I don't know what kind of luck you've had, but I can't seem to time any WB-first option much better. We definitely lose out on Worker turns, which isn't too bad since we only really have two tiles to improve at this point.
