[SPOILERS] Team My Little Marathon Cannibal Pony on another PG-13 adventure!

Actually with all the trees we have in our start I am thinking that we need to get BW before we get fishing, since we have enough food to start of with for the moment, we can ingore the fish at the start until we are ready to research.

@Azza, you generally don't win based on your UU alone.

No shit. I'm saying you go from being at most a 10% chance to win your early war with WCs or Impis, to a 2% chance of winning it solely because your target has an extra couple of turns to prepare. Early war is extremely difficult to win. If you want an example, look at Lewwyn and Bigger's spoiler in Pitboss 8. They attacked their close neighbour, who had no metal, no horses, no Archery on Turn 65. It wasn't until turn 180 that they were able to make some actual gains from that war, because the defender traded for horses, whipped out 3-5 chariots in the 2 turns he had to prepare, and the rush fell into a heap. 115 turns of stalemate before the superior economy eventually won out, and by that time there were 3 or 4 civs who'd gone well past them.

It's an extremely high risk maneuver even if you have a strong, quick UU like a War Chariot. It's even riskier if you don't have strong economic techs as backup. It's suicide if you have neither.

So the first moves we do are to settle on spot, start a worker and then move the scout either NW or NE and then see if we can move to a tile that will give us extra view.

First leader picked was Darius. Hardly surprising. I am going to assume most teams are going to pick either Fin or Org.

Pacal (Fin/Exp) was chosen 1st.

I don't know why I saw Darius.

Well I was psychic. mischief

So far we have had only Financials picked with Pascal II(Exp), Darius I(Org) and Williem van Oranje(Cre). So that just leaves Hannibal(Cha), Victoria(Imp), Elizabeth(Phi), Huayna Capac(Ind), Wang Kon(Pro), Mansa Musa(Spi) and Ragnar(Agg).

We need to have a solid choice for our leader. So far we both have different leaders. My thinking is that being Organised is a must on these settings and being Charismatic is needed if we want to be warmongers. I just don't see why Aggressive is going to be helpful. Just convince me why we should be aggressive.

First off, apologies for slow response. RL/work.

I see no need to convince you. AGG appears to be the state of least advantage. That said I see these three as our top contenders at this time:

Napoleon creates a comfortable warmachine in terms of xp/upgrades+happy coupled with -50% civic upkeep.
Sumeria - Asoka ORG/SPI could work. No time wasted switching civics.
Alternative is Sumeria - Zara Yaqob ORG/EXP. Location, location location. Expand, expand, expand.

Napoleon actually is a favourite since I can play a bit upon his charisma in diplo. wink
