LP, this past one was my last turn for the week. I'll be back late Sunday night the 17th, but likely will be too tired to play if that's when a deadline is.
There is war stuff you will need to do....but should be extremely minor before I return. Basically, I'm sending over two Galleys with catapults. Land them right next to the city where my stack is. Start bombarding the city to lower it's defenses. All other catapults will roll their way over there as quickly as they can. Once the city starts getting bombarded, use the galleys to ferry over all the units I have on the island. And start marching over any other available units. I'm assuming at the speed things are going, I'll be back longer before any actual attacking needs to take place. Whip wherever you would, if you were playing for yourself. Manage the cities and workers as you see fit, as well.

Turn 117

Did as requested with the Catapults. Personally I feel it's quite risky to unload without first bringing more defenders to the site - Jowy has several Axes that you can see and you only have two units with defensive bonuses on that tile. However, unloaded the Catapults anyway.

Whipped one city for a Catapult, rearranged a couple of tiles. Workers mostly chopping.

Turn 118

As predicted, Jowy attacked your stack with 5 Axes. Fortunately he got a little unlucky and lost 3 Axes before he killed 2 Catapults. Still, a 105-100 hammer swap is not what you should be looking for here. You have technological advantage, so you can get a much better ratio if you play your cards right. In future, bear in mind it's not a good idea to move in siege without adequate defense in place. smile

I realise you'd holed up on that Deer for some time, but I made the decision to pull back 1 tile. Looks like Jowy brought a bunch of units over from his other city, and he'd obliterate your remaining forces with few to no losses this turn if you left them adjacent to his city (as the Sword and Skirmisher are both heavily damaged). Best to wait until you get more defenders in place before you move back.

Turn 119

Preparing to unload more troops. Also started a bunch of Axe builds. You've built way too many Catapults relative to the number of melee troops you have. smile

Turn 120

Moving back to whittle down Jowy's capital defences now that we have a decent number of troops around.

After being at war with him ever since basically the start of the game...and it basically costing me the game by having to keep troops within his borders all this time to prevent him from getting his Horses back....I was finally able to attack him this turn. I lost 1 Catapult & 1 Chariot...killing more than a dozen of his units. I would think I should be able to take the city next turn. Then he currently only has an Archer in his other city, so I'll be able to make quick work of that one.

This has basically been my only goal for this game...to conquer Jowy before someone else conquers me or before the game gets decided no one wants to continue it. After this, I don't really care what happens. smile

Well this totally and completely sucks. Because of the reload I'm having to redo this...I've been able to start it this morning before heading off to work but don't know if I'll have time to finish....

But this time instead of losing just 1 Catapult, I've already lost FIVE Catapults (one at 98.8% odds) and I haven't even started my normal attacks. The RNG hates me today, so I'm expecting way more than the one Chariot death when I continue. frown

So no other losses at least...but the loss of those extra 4 catapults hurts. I'd much rather have had that other Chariot loss...which didn't die this time....

Not that any of this really matters much anyway, since I have no chance at all in this game of surviving very long. I'm still surprised I survived this long. smile
