Whatever Turn This Is. 41? I think It's 41. Oh, and Also the Turns that Led Up To It
So a few turns ago we did this:
This is what passes for excitement in a land of dinosaurs. Let that sink in. I have dinosaurs for cities, and all that happens are we get to figure out which city works which tile. Like I have accountant dinosaurs. The most boring dinosaurs ever. Anyway, the point was that we wanted to swap the plains hill mine to T-Rex so it would get 15h overflow + 9h from this turn = Most of a Granary. The wheat goes to Allosuarus because a wheat is the same thing as a plains hill - so really Allosaurus is working the same yield as before. (Not technically true; the wheat yields 1 more towards a worker, but we'll lose that in the rounding.)
Thank you, Mr. Muldoon. I'm glad someone appreciates what I'm doing here.
We also moved our finished settler towards city #3. Sad news: Commodore beat us to being the first to a third city by one measly turn.
Then last turn we did this:
New city! Hurray new city! It took the deer, I shuffled tiles back around between foodless Allosaurus and T-Rex, and we end up working a bare wine tile because right now I think I'm more worried about commerce than anything else. And that also gets us to 6hpt, which is just enough to finish that Granary. 2-turn granary without any mines and without any whipping. I just blew my own mind and I already did it.
Workers are trying to hook up some sheep, but that's a turn away. Also, I had to go to 50% on Bronze Working because I was thinking expenses would be 3gpt instead of 4. Like I said, accountant dinosaurs.
Oh yeah, new turn!
So now sheep to Brachiosaurus, regular tiles for T-Rex and Allosaurus. T-Rex is going to grow 2 sizes in 3 turns, thanks to that granary, and at size 5 we're going to whip our next settler to completion. Allosaurus is just going to pump out workers because it doesn't have any food, and Brachiosaurus is going to try and be my first real second city. If that makes any sense. And yes, I'm building a cottage on a plains tile. But it's a river tile, so at least it isn't as awful as it could have been.
Demos!
Before I finished the sheep i was last in food. This is not going so well, is it?
