Probably Noble if toroid and Monarch if not, +/- 1. Haven't figured out which script I want to try yet.

I hope you can be convinced to use (at least) the +1 option. I prefer a less frantic tech pace (Sareln reduced a lot of the tech costs, and they just go by too fast at anything less than Emperor or Immortal, IMHO). See 33, where TBS had an army of mostly tier III units with Toroid/Immortal. Depends on the amount of commerce on the map, of course, and others may argue with me.

Bear in mind though that TBS had captured double the land of anyone else, plus that game actually ran pretty long- it just seemed to go by quickly because turn pace was incredible. With Tower requiring Omniscience, I wouldn't be too worried about someone quickly teching to a victory condition. Also, raging barbs on anything above Monarch is pretty hardcore, and even on Monarch the interrupted worker actions and extra units people are going to have to build will slow the game down a bit (and Barbarian leaders will have their 10% research penalty).

Suppose I manually set the map size to Huge (after making a map). I'm not keen on changing much else. In particular I don't want to make Org uber.

Summoning either as AI or switching to them is still allowed, though.
I'm reasonably sure someone will be available for either one or both, so let's please set this to "on."
Also, I just accidentally clicked "next oldest" at the bottom of this thread and ended up in DaveV's. I saw his list of picks before I realized what had happened, but nothing else.

Since you've already made your picks, I don't have a problem with that. Just think of it as giving you extra time to laugh at my poor decision making.

Uhh, I have to read up, which I'll get done tomorrow, right now I'm not clear about what variant we are playing and stuff. I hope that won't be a problem, not that I can change a whole lot about it.

NP. It's all in the first post in this thread. No variant though.
@ Ellimist- I am somewhat dubious about the Human Takeover setting, unless we have a confirmation in this thread that someone is willing to take over. I'm not sure what happens if you play with that setting & no person is able to step in (I guess you end up with an extra player someone has to abdicate to AI?), but I would rather not set us up for technical problems however many months from now.
