This is the first game where I'm annoyed at people being too eager to play their turns. FFS guys, we get in two turns a day like six days a week. It's not the end of the world if we only manage one or someone "holds" the save for five hours.

Woah woah woah, update:
Four cities now. Going to hold off on further expansion for a little while, need to at least grow a little and get more granaries online. Capital will get a granary as its next build (just finished a Worker). Isai is going to occupy most of my workforce as I finish mining my copper and then attempt to chop 'Henge. Not sure what Mew2King will be doing, I guess growing to size 4 and then whipping a worker or something- need more labor in that area.
Also trying to land Hinduism; I'll switch tech to Hunting if someone else gets it first. Not necessarily a disaster if that happens, since I want to get Org Religion soon anyway. Assuming I am the first to tech Poly, tech path is then Hunting (for Furs) -> Masonry -> Org Religion -> Writing. Although perhaps I should do Writing directly after Hunting, hmm.

Landed Hinduism, so that's pretty rad. In PC Chris too, probably best place possible. Henge completes in... two, three turns, I guess? Probably 3.
Really need more workers.

Captured a Barbarian city:
It's pretty isolated at the moment; might be difficult to hold, and probably none too cheap. Should be an amazing contributor once it's running, however.
The rest of the empire:
Starting to be time for another wave of expansion; every city will start on a settler either as its next build and/or after growing a size.

Update:
The Core of the Smasher Empire:
I settled Wife and milktea this turn. They aren't top-tier smashers I suppose, but I remembered both of them from the documentary.
The killer city of Mango:
"Killer" both in terms of its amazing terrain / resources and its impact on my economy. Still glad I captured it though, looks like it gives me control over a hub, and it's long-term potential is astounding. Mew2King just completed a Spear which I'm sending down to prevent someone poaching / razing Mango with a scouting Chariot.
Demographics:
Everything is awesome except the economy, which blows. Going to settle one more city in the near future, somewhere in the island(?) east of my capital, for intercontinental trade routes. Otherwise I'm going to focus on increasing my labor pool and growing cities to get more cottages online. I currently have the highest city count (albeit only by one), plus at least the land to my immediate north and west looks awful, so I'll fine with putting on the brakes for a bit. Future expansion in the near-future will likely be by galley- looks like there's some decent territory across a strip of coast south and southwest of milktea.
Gotta say, I'm really enjoying this combo. Pretty worried about my long-term viability though. Also not sure what the heck has gone wrong with AT (or whoever the yellow civ is), he's been on only three cities for forever. Probably working on a wonder... or maybe Commodore rushed him or something.

But seriously though, this combo is incredibly fun. I don't feel like I'm murdering my civ every time I start work on a Settler or whip a granary! Like, I've probably doomed myself by overexpanding, but the speed at which my empire is growing is amazing. We're getting about 1.5 turns in a day and it's still not fast enough, because I've got stuff completing and meaningful things to do every turn.
Also the two barb Warriors next to Mango inexplicably decided to attack the city, so the Axe there is only a few XP off from unlocking the H. Epic.

Drunk posting for no other reason than to finally do it. God bless the nonprofit world. Shit, still need to play turn.

Took a while, but a barb city I had been camping outside of finally grew:
Holy crap, that's amazing! Orphans a sheep (unless I settle on it, which I probably will), but whatever. Looks like this is supposed to be another contention area as well, going by the hub geography and semi-mirrored resources.
I don't really get what this map is going for so far, tbh. Got conflict-killing icy wastelands to my north and west, and then small but lush hubs to my south and east, which I happen to control due to some lucky barb city spawns, plus being quick to get axes in position to capitalize. It's not bad or anything, but it seems almost designed to thwart ancient warfare. Which is fine by me, since I'm the person least equipped to engage in it anyway.

Does any lurker know if the GLH is allowed for this game? I figure I should at least attempt it for the failgold, but I don't want to break any rules. Didn't see anything about it in a cursory inspection of the tech thread, but maybe Commodore assumed everyone intended for it to be banned under "standard BTS rules".

Also: How the hell does DTG have so many cities, not even being an IMP leader, and why is his score so low, when land tiles should be giving him a huge boost? I guess his empire is full of lots of tiny, recently founded cities.
My own economy is wrecked from expansion, so I've got two Settlers sitting on their asses. Seriously tempted to pop a golden age to finish Currency once my Great Scientist generates in 7 turns.
Also really tempted to throw troops at Commodore, since I'm going to have to fight him sooner or later anyway, and he's surely out-teching me.
