I poked around the save a bit this morning - I'll have some thoughts for you after work this afternoon (about 9 hours from now).

We lost another beserker in France last turn, because I thought, hell with nearly full health he can hang around Rouen. Nope.
New turn now.
West:
East: Wolin is a mess, as well as my loss near Rouen. I try to keep things together and get to Wincester next, Scotland will be left to Norway, he seems insistent on it. I am not a happy camper, both losses were avoidable and if I had not been greedy with pillaging Wolin would be blocked by our longboat and ours since 3 turns.
Yeah, the loss of the berserker near Poiters stings, but thankfully Norway seems to have scrambled from Utrecht over to England, so we have a bit of breathing room in France. Let's write off Scotland, take Winchester, and then prepare for an attack on Poiters or Paris, whichever seems like a softer target. If we take Paris to "cut off" the Norwegians, they'll just go around us like they are in York, so I think hitting the easier target makes the most sense. From Poiters we can even think about attacking the weaker Iberian city-states! Those can be swept up much more easily than France, which is a hard nut to crack.
At Wolin, let's stay calm. Frankish intervention changed things a lot in Sweden's favor, but we're still balanced around the city. I think a Ram could be the difference here - letting us crack the walls and take the city in one go.

Wolin has fallen to Sweden. Norway got a 2nd GA.
Turn 16 and we did not manage Wolin thanks to 2! freaking insane attacks by frankish knights, wasting 10 turns of a whole army. Damn. Well, shame we are probably out of the competition. This army could easily taken Utrecht, I will reroute to Francia. The chances of Wolin falling were not high. They must have gotten damn lucky.
Bah! What appalling bad luck - TWO Frankish knights coming in, and Sweden getting perfect damage rolls to break their way. Any one of those things breaks our way, and we get Wolin, which is a fantastic city.
Well, no one ever said life had to be easy. We still have an inside on most of England. Let's focus our efforts on Poiters and Iberia for now.
