Yeah, I can't place why, but Sullla's voice is quite pleasant.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.
I neither have a microphone nor Sullla's excellent narrator voice to say the least . For those interested in learning about how to analyze military tactics may actually enjoy the first half as you get to see the thought process. It is completely without sound though, so I'd suggest some sort of dramatic background music.
I don't know why I couldn't at least get my system audio to come through properly. It worked fine in my test run, but it was super distorted when I played the turn so I shut it off.

Quick update. Of course the German team chose not to end turn again ( ), so the turn should end in about an hour. About an hour after that, I plan to start playing through the turn. I'll plan on streaming again. So the tentative start time for the next turn is around 9:30 EDT, or two hours from now. I'll try to jump into the game as soon as it rolls and take a few screenshots, but if we aren't facing anything unusual, we can go ahead with it. Tomorrow is not really a great time for me to allocate a couple hours to play a turn, so I'd definitely prefer the bulk of the turn is played tonight. Hopefully we'll have a nice group in there again and it'll continue to go smoothly.
We can stop worrying about those guys! Okay, the actual good news.
Just added a single longbow. Yeah these guys aren't even trying to defend against us. So we can talk about the best way to crack these two longbows later, but I think we definitely want to go for this. It'll speed up the war overall by several turns. The only downer news:
We're going to start feeling the effects of WPC's total failure pretty soon here as they can start to divert troops south. They added a Quechua, Spear, Axe, and 5 War Elephants to the single spear that was here. This isn't the worst news obviously, it just means we need to continue to work west to east. Also, I'm glad we didn't mess around with Knights on this side of the map. Power graph while I'm at it:
CivFr is not messing around. CFC has their hands more than a bit full.
