[No players] Big epic lurking - PB74

am I confused or too tired to understand the issue with culture bombing?
You need a city for that, right?
Can't Gav just plant a city at the border for himself? right south of his marker

Ya he figured it out. Although I'm confused why Piccadilly didn't fire it off already. Gav also figured out a better use for Pins great merchant than Pin. Although to be fair sids sushi isn't as great for Pin as the other main players.

fascinating endgame

It would be awesome to see a dogpile succeed, but I don't really see how Gav loses from here. Everyone else seems to think this game is still interesting though, so maybe I'm missing something? noidea

I think a relative good reported (and fast) endgame with a big war on water.

This is a first ?
PB66 had a significant nuke/commando section.

PB59 had big open water and some water action. I would have to go back and look how much.

PB66 had A LOT of naval action. But it was tied up with a lot of land that turned it into a lot of positioning AND THEN it turned into nuke/commando action so no one remembers the naval fighting & positioning.

I also don't see this dog pile succeeding, but maybe. Pin probably does need to help out more. If Mig falls its over. I also do wonder if Commodore is whipping enough. His whip numbers seem pathetic to me.

I also thought Commodore should probably just ask one of his allies for uranium. Probably wasn't a good comment for his thread though.

A difficult topic. Talking about possible mechanics falls into a grey area in my eyes.
And this was nothing special for me at all, especially because I am in a similar situation in the CF PB93 and import oil.
But yes, I will further limit my posts.

Conversely, I would also like to argue that the distribution of uranium is quite unfair and that the whole thing should be rather unimportant for a relatively long time to come.
Pin or Mig also need nuclear fission before they can connect the uranium.

Ya both Q and I just missed. I didn't have any for PB66 but luckily I conquered into some on Jacks periphery. It just happened that we missed two players right next to each other. I was mainly focused on double checking the early resources, so I do apologize for missing this.

You just need physics to connect fyi.

i thought you only needed physics to reveal and mine it, but you need fission to have it appear in your resource box or to trade it to another player

i remember in civ6 PBEM18 kaiser went from arguable favorite to dead in large part because the mapmaker forgot to give them oil.... at least this isn't on that level, since comm should be able to trade for it eventually (and you would think the others would have an incentive to supply some given the desperate nature of the situation)

It's interesting what Commodore is choosing to report (and not to report) and contrast with Gavagai's reporting:

Southern front. Commodore suicided his land stack against Ficded and grouped Bandit 3 back in one stack. I killed all metal units in Bandit 3 but he can replace them:
