Hiya People.

I know people are reading this thread, so I have so ask some questions.
By now I got a Great Scientist, but I forgot to calculate in that with our current speed the GS just produce 1500+3x (x=pop.number) beaks.

So now I guess my plan is slightly fucked and I need an another solution or at least postphone it.

The GS adds approx 1600-1700 to Education. Which makes 1100ish beaks left. This is managabe in 8-10 turns. I am done with Construction now, bulb Education and research rest. This gives me Education in 10 turns or so. After that I can go for gunpowder, which will require 12-15 turns. This means I will have Musketmen by t150. Question: Is it worth it and will I be able to attack Suttree (It does not seem that he is planning much military yet)

OR: I abandon my plans, build an academy in my Capitol, go for Civil Service. Making lots of setlers and do some really swift expansion and make monasteries and temples in all cities. This secures my future plans better, but it is not what I did tell Yossadorn or EggHeads.

OR: I start an golden age. This will help me finish University of Sancore faster and I will most likely get both Temple of Artemis and the great lighthouse during those turns. I can still approach expansion and University-tech if I do this.

Could I get some opinions what would be wise to choose? I am really not sure

And another question: does failgold increase if the city got a marked?

t132: I am really sorry for not writing more logs than this, but considering I am balancing a 110% teaching position, writing a master's thesis and trying to upheld my real time friendships, then I don't got time for logs.

World according to Arki t132:

Teddy/DMOC has increased their NAP with me to t170. They are currently in war with Rome. Earlier this turn they announsed that Rome has defeated their armies at Antium and this should happened last turn. Weird note: I can't see this happening on their Power Rating. Will I see it later, or are they lying? I got their maps

Yossadorn: Joined Teddy/DMOC in war vs Rome. Haven't assaulted anything and is purely defensive. Our NAP is running out at t140 (in 8 turns). I was thinking let them take the initiative and see when they are going for it... if they are going for it. Lacking of NAP will give me the possibility to steal techs or declare war on them at any given time. Godd/Bad: I really don't know. I got their maps

Rome: After confronting Teddy/DMOC, I discovered India and Rome by chariot (this unit is currently on route to Dinosaurs). Having the interrest of having a weak Yossadorn and Eggheads, I gave them my updated maps for free and Opened Borders. I am still not confronted with this by Teddy/DMOC or Yossadorn, but I expect it soon- No NAP signed

Suttree: My archnemisis in this game. SuttOxy goes for a University-Liberalism-Nationalism solution and nothing can stop him. Except those 15-20 turns this takes. Our NAP is running out at t150 and we still have OB since I failed on the great lighhouse. I sold them the maps for 50g (I should have taken more according to Yossarian, but since I did seek advise AFTER sending a reply, I had to accept a 50g deal.) Anyway: I know his cities and are currently figuring out the fastest tactic to siege his cities. Except Teddy/DMOC and Yos, I have told noone of this war, so if he knows I either have a leak or someone that shouldn't is reading my spoilers.

Bandit: To my surprize India did not attack Bandit at t130, so he is still in one piece and currently building wonders (which is good, since that draws attention). My question is: Could I dare to ask if he wants to join a war vs suttree, sharing the cities or does he have an another plan. I should first ask him about his and suttree's NAP and when it is actually over, before plotting anything more. They got my maps. Bandit is currently sending me a spy!

India: Just met a few turns ago and is currently very quiet. I did offer them my maps for 40g, but they seemed to decline. No NAPs. I have a small area I don't know at their place.

Classical hero: Found me a few turns ago and opened borders with me. He has not wanted the maps, but once again: I trade to sell them.

Aivo: I got his maps. We have an OB-agreement and I hope some religion will soon get to him. He is also exploring the area round my southern cities with an impi. Why? I really don't know. I concidering using my incomming spy on his for his few inferior techs, since we don't have any deal, especially Espionage deals (which I will never consider with him)

Myself: Building Wealth in some cities, researching for Universities and trying to balance temples/monasteries and afterwards making barraacks/units. I guess Gunpowder will be ready to t145 thanks to the failgold from temple of artemis.

Several questions arose last turn:

1. Why did sutoxy choose Nationalism over Liberalism? If I take a chance now, I may get Liberalism before them. Question: Is it worth it?

2. Gunpowder is done in approx 10 turns. I gained University this turn an currently building one in my capitol.

3. Considering the current situation of eastern warfare (and their lack of luck): should I rather muster an army and both kill Yossa and Aivo? This will grant me horribly large lands and most likely a dogpile. But it will be fun.

4. How large is the amphibious warfare penalty?

5. DMOC amd Yos did a pact with DT. Isn't it a bit horrible of them to sign peace so early? Rome is ddfinetly going for one of them next and DMOC should rather got their UU then
