Intersite Game - Turn Discussion Thread

Posting from phone so I'll make this short. Let's put the big stack east of the city just captured. Knights fork two cities and one movers can advance on either. Tundra cities last. I do not care about WPC.

Checking for the Printing Press bulb plan (cross fingers for the Great Scientist):

We will grow 4 cities on the end of turn (Starfall, Frozen Jungle, Let It Snow, and Mano y Mano. Right now we have 179 pop, and lets assume we whip/draft 2 (Starfall and Winter Wasteland). That brings us to 181 pop next turn.

So a GS will be worth 1500 + 181 * 3 = 2043b

We currently have 105b invested in PP, so we will have 2148b, and we will need 732. By running 70% science this turn give circa 530 raw beakers, which will be adjusted to 695. 80% science would give circa 610 raw beakers, adjusted to 800.

I think we should do our micro, and then re-run the numbers. It might be worth it to build research in Focal Point, Brick by Brick, or Cutting Edge this turn. Are built beakers adjusted for the known tech bonus?
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Oh wow, i forgot how excited i was to do that micro about PP. Well done kjn, it looks like 70% with some Build Research is what we want.

Pretty sure yes, both the known tech and prerequisite modifiers.

Yeah, they do. Anything that ends up displayed in the slider total will then be adjusted by those modifiers

Put me down in the camp that does care about WPC. They've been remarkably cheerful in their emails despite the german team unfairly focussing all of their attention on them. Our war would have been much trickier without them and they've kept being good to us. I'd focus on the more southern city first, not try to grab Warendorf.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Sullla says he does not care as in "who cares what they think, just capture everything" while you seem to be expressing something very different.

My take is that soooo simply disagrees with Sullla in this matter. For that matter, so do I. Being known for taking good care of allies and friends is one of the most important things in diplo, almost as important as being known as trustworthy.

Well then you have to care what WPC thinks. City gifting is banned. So if they are going to get anything, it must be captured. There's only 4 cities left that are even possible to capture.

Agreed. WPC sucked at prosecuting the war, but without their army we wouldn't be as far along as we are. So let's find a decent deal that doesn't cost us too much, keep our options open, and give the other also-rans a reason to work with us in the future.
