[SPOILERS - PBEM17] novice and spaceman - Suryavarman of India

novice Wrote:Upgraded a warrior to an Axeman. We'll have two axemen and two chariots over there, and will whip another galley before the trireme in Trading Post. The trireme from Cash Cow is sailing south to serve as escort. We'll see if two galleys can fork two cities and achieve something. Razing StM's newly built Moai Statues would be nice.

It would indeed. lol
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Okay, Darrell whipped an axeman in Hong Kong. Our chariot has 65% odds. Darrell also has England at size 3, undefended. And he has two workers south of Hong Kong who just farmed a corn there.

Options:
1. Attack with the chariot. Possibly cleanup with the warrior if we lose narrowly.
2. Move galley into Tipping Point. Chop a chariot in Tipping Point. Attack either Hong Kong or England next turn.

Question:
Can the chopped chariot load onto the galley and attack a city on the same turn?
I have to run.

Nope. I've found loading uses up all your movement points. Unloading inside a port city/fort or another ship in transit doesn't.

In light of NC's information and the fact that the Axeman's fortify bonus would soon tip us from 65% odds to 35% odds, i decided to attack.

Hong Kong was burned to the ground. Payback has begun.

Finished the rest of T66. Our chariot is at strength 1.0/4 and 3/2 XP. Darrell has a galley around, but it's not in attack range. Our new trireme from Pyramid Scheme is heading west to intercept.

We have two chariots on board a galley guarded by a trireme in position to attack two of Shoot the Moon's cities. Bursa is defended by a single axeman. We also have two axemen and a galley completing in Trading Post.

Discovered Iron Working at end of turn. Our iron is... under occupation. Cute. I guess all the iron is gathered in the spiral of death. It might be best for us to grab Shoot the Moon's iron.

Some sort of revenge - excellent.

Well, as rego said, once we're taken care of, a new dogpile target is decided upon. Kyan will be that target.

Incidentally, if we ever re-open borders with anyone, what happens to the "sustained peace" boost? (Wondering if that was the point of war, rather than closing borders, other than to get us whipping like crazy.)

It will need 50 turns to recover fully.

The other reason was probably to kill our merchant, and everyone had to DoW to prevent us from crushing StM in retaliation.

So, with no immediate iron, should we go Monarchy-Feudalism-Machinery-CS and settle on StM's iron? Next GP golden age into Bureau, OrgRel and Confu? And Theocracy on the last turn of GA?
