Azza settled very conservatively and I think we should feel safe about that.

yes. I also noticed we have the #1 city and are now #1 in GNP dance

im confused by your micro in the capital. last I checked it was set to grow to size 6 the same turn the chariot completed. now its size 6 and still has 2 more turns to go on the chariot?

why is gilgamesh fortifying one north of the forest near azza instead of right on the forest?

also note that azza has a another settler escorted by a warrior NW of his borders, I assume to go towards the stone site. he'll have t5 cities soon. and as far as we can tell only warriors. are you sure he researched iron working? ahha, I think we made a mistake not rushing him.

2 things:

afte the chariot is done in the capital, we're chopping a settler right? we need to get that wine/cow site settled soon.

why not a barracks in the Odyssey instead of another chariot? well, if we are really worried about prats. if not a chariot is good smile.

im really confused by azza atm. he plants his new city near us with only a warrior garrson:

as you could see, we could easily raze this city now. the chariot still has a movement left, can move SE and raze the city with 95%+ odds next turn.

to the west:

azza, azza is moving another settler (I presume to the stone site) with only a warrior garrison.

so it seems like he's pretty confident we won't attack him.

here's the power graph:
azza spiked a bit again last turn (or 2 turns ago, I guess, since the graphs are on a delay). if he's building a military, why can't he put anything except warriors in his frontline cities? is he trying to bait us into attack him? is it possible azza doesnt have iron or copper yet? on that note, how about writing after archery? open borders come with alpha bet now, but map trading comes with writing - trading maps with serdoa could prove very useful! (the libraries wouldnt hurt either)

we are 14 EP's from getting research visibility on azza. I think he's splitting 2/2 between us and serdoa - so maybe 7 turns???
if it comes to that, is it worth losing graphs on serdoa? I think so, not really concerned about serdoa atm.

demos:

lewwyn, why not move achilleus south and try to explore west and south of azza? if you want to keep vision of the city and not reveal we have chariots, you can always move the chariot into the Odyssey to garrison it, then we move Hector into position to monitor "bird of Tokyo." we should have excellent vision into the city anyway once borders expand in the Odyssey in 7 turns.

weird. it does seem enticing to pick off those warriors/settlers/cities -- 240 hammers - good bye!

this is the dilemna - if his cities are guarded by warrios because he has prats/axes south of his empire preparing to invade serdoa - then you could bet they would turn around and come towards us if we razed one of his cities, hehe. perfect situation would be if azza DOW on serdoa, then we could attack azza after a few turns and split up his empire w/ serdoa. heh heh heh.

if his whole empire is warriors then we are really dumb to not invade him now.

the problem is our scouting south of his capital is non-existent, so not sure what his metal situation is frown.

Found Azza's iron, Bigger should be along presently with pictures. Bigger turn on tile yields when you do.

see if you see something unusual wink

I honestly don't know if azza has copper. if he doesnt, he'd have to have horses. but we haven't seen copper or horse units, only warriors.
regardless, it would be really stupid of us to let him hook up iron when we can prevent it smile.

lewwyn is hopeful he moves both workers to the iron so we can capture them. I can't imagine azza does that (we can't double move afterall), I think he'll retreat the workers, but we'll see.

ok, can someone help me figure out from this tile bleed where the city spot of azza's capital is?

it seems like it should be 1W of the pigs from the cultural borders (capital would have expanded twice by now).. but thats a forest square, how would we have ever seen a forest in his capital? and it can't be south of that, because thats clearly coast.

also the only place azza could have copper in his capital is 1s or 2s of the pigs. is it possible azza's resource is horses as well, and he just hasn't picked up AH yet?
