I generally agree with you. The main element I can see in favor of Gavagai not giving him ivory is that GJ doesn't have any happiness resource to trade (except gold that Gavagai already has). I also think we should be preparing for some numids (probably not enough to defeat our WEs though). But the good news is that he only got construction last turn, so no stack of catapults waiting for us.

Yuppo! It's all we can hope for. We will be outproduced soon so we need to whip and go soonish

GJ wants to take the barb city it seems. Well as long as his units are up there instead of down on our front I'm happy.
Dreylin refused OB, I still sent this to show our good will :
I also noticed that Gavagai has IW, so why not :
I somehow expect both to refuse but it's worth trying (Gavagai has another Iron in a nice convenient place so he can always found a nice little city there if he needs swords).
We've passed GJ in power, but with our heavy whipping and lack of expansion we're last (or 10th with only Furungy behind I think) on most categories.
Edit : I highly encourage you to log in and whip the market in CN, I forgot to do it and have to go right now. If not it'll wait for next turn.
Edit 2 : actually no need to whip the market, it'll wait for us to have less whip unhappiness there, and for it to be a 2 pop whip.

Yeah I will always be able to play in the turn within the 24hr period. Atm with the rota you just generally beat me to it! When I play this turn I'll set a war turn date

Dreylin accepted and somehow Gavagai sent us this :
I have no idea how to interpret that. Does it mean he wants 13gpt ? Or a kind of semi vassalage ?
I hope you can help me in this, I'd like to answer something to him.
Edit : actually my general feeling is that we don't have time to build swords, we need 5 more hwachas to be able to start thinking about breaking the chokepoint and I'm not sure we'll be able to get any more from the western cities without totally destroying our research capacity.
I think that on turn 119 we can be on the staging tile (highlighted) with the 4 workers, 2 road the tile and the other 2 road the tile NE of it.
I think I'll end turn anyway, iron is too late for us. Demo screen says we have 24k more soldiers than the best rival, which is good news really. But GJ whipped 4 times this turn, if his power rose from 207000 next turn we'll know he's whipping mainly units.

Played turn. Rival best power went up to 228000, so 21k in one turn. If I'm not mistaken we're attacking GJ with 9 hwachas (estimated for t119) 6WE 5axes 3spears.

Sorry, just able to have a look in. Agree that that is the best avenue of attack and happy to start it in 7 turns. That is when the last Hatchwa gets there. However I think we should be even more liberal with the whip - this attack is make or break. We have one shot at this or we will be eaten by better production power. Therefore everything that cannot produce a one mover in time to make the stack should make a HA. Whipping should be done as much as possible. I don't want to lose the research either but we will be stuck otherwise cramped in a small starting area.
I don't think the swords will be worth it now either. We should be able to smash through with the hatchwa and take it from there. I believe that we will be able to produce more than you thought with my extra whipping, every unit here counts.
I don't know what Gavagi wants with that offer, I guess trying to milk it for all its worth? Perhaps we should be cautious with WE builds as he may want to cancel the ivory soon...

Wow you whipped 4 times, were there that many cities with hammers into a unit ? What's your new estimate on the number of units we'll have in the attack ?
