Hopefully Asoka can pull through as a wildcard as reward for the incredible diplomacy and coming within 4 turns of winning
I would suggest that Asoka be a lock to the wildcard, since from what I remember he was the closest third place player to winning a game.
I, too, think Asoka should be a lock in for the wildcard. I mean, the man was probably the most tactical and diplomatic of all the AI's so far. He was the only one smart enough to call on his army of religious brothers to crusade against one of the top powers while he was weak himself.

I hope he gets to play Vicky so we can see who is better at UN suicide.

What a bizarre game! I'm guessing the win was so slow because the wars didn't accomplish stuff, unlike every other game, so nobody got any actual spoils to help their post-war econ. Asoka did great and even if they AI didn't "actually" plan it the way it all seemed to be planned was pretty hilarious, I hope he does well Wildcard wise. I anticipate small scores from this game (I think I only got like 5!).

True, but half the entertainment is the clever ways in which Sulla anthropomorphizes the AIs .

Its fun to speculate on format, wild cards, etc. but my $0.02 is that Sulla should just make the call he thinks will provided the most entertainment value .

Irony: Asoka would have won if he had lost a stack in hostile (SoZ) territory. He would have been "forced" to run the slider...

A great game, and a great writeup. Thanks, Sulla!
I'm surprised it took this long for the AP to be a factor in these games. I don't think it's been mentioned in any of the other reports, and I actually thought that Religious Victory had been disabled at setup, so that no one could build it. With all the religious leaders in Civ4, did no one but Asoka manage to put it to some use?

Really funny game... We are going to see a very low average score and a lot of "0 point" scoring for this game (including myself)
Ready this last report, I have just come to realise that AP Diplo was in fact impossible (I was semi counting on it -and UN- in a previous game ).
PS: Sullla, would it be possible for you to put the following "previews" (selected leaders, short analysis and map) on your website as well (because RB is blocked at work, while your site is not )

I agree: we should be able to follow this big March (now April) Madness from your webpage alone.
