yeah but i guess the temples would still give me that bonnus.
The problem with sankore is that i was just building units to get a good spot and beat all the stacks my 3 opponents had, i felt i needed all my steam on that. When the situation relaxed then i made sankore and then i thoguht about minarete.
I guess after SM i would still have the temples and cathedrals giving the bonnus so yeah i would lose roughly 60 beakers and 60 gold but i would still have 60 beakers and 60 gold for the rest of the game. But yeah maybe i measured bad my forces and i would have spent a city building sankore faster. And maybe delayed steel to get the circunnav and minarete would have been smarter.
Also what do you guys think about getting railroad instead of astronomy? I think i read tarkeel thought i should have taken astro faster to threat the coast of bellarch before, but i thought this plan about the raid with 60 units thanks to that railroad. Although by that moment i would still need more units since he had the stack closer to that city instead of in bings land if you remember.

FWIW, I think this was a game where you could afford never to tech Scientific Method (same as PB60 for us), so late was still much better than never on monk wonders.
I was still thinking on getting it for the combustion ships, but i would have taken after combustion to get those bonnus more time. I felt i also would love to get electricity for the gold of the mills. and as a pre for indus. So i really thought i would have taken SM 100% if the game would have keep going.
About our game in PB60 :P the situation was really different, we had the double of cities than the rest and mjmd and SD barely had knights on that moment. Here bellarch had rifles and were tough, so the needing of keeping teching (if it didnt work the plan out) was important i believe.
