[Spoilers] REM and AdrienIer's thread of football, spamming and blaming it on the mod

We're no longer first in power, and by some margin. We'll know next turn if it's GJ or someone else, but with the average rival power being quite low I think it can't be anyone else.

Yeah it is GJ. Not much we can do here. We are only gonna get more OPed as time goes on. Whip whip away and hope the hatcwas can do something!

Also I accepted OBs and gold for fur from macokti before remembering we already had gold from the other trades... Epic fail there. We aren't bumping the happy limit in most cities though. Also GJ is 3t from feudalism... Let's go down in a blaze of glory!

We should try to get the first part of the turn so GJ can't upgrade archers into longbows on the first turn.

Um, why aren't all the units on the staging tile ready to attack ? It means we'll have to delay the attack by one turn, they won't be able to actually enter GJ territory this turn.

Ok we're going to lose this. Last night I remembered that there was a simple way to check what deals people had with each other. I'm angry at myself for not remembering this earlier. Anyway Gavagai has stopped giving us ivory, but has been doing this :

So no advantage there.

On the matter on the actual attack here's where we are right now.

We're advancing next turn, then we get on the hill (assuming we don't get slaughtered out there), then we attack the city. Not sure if we should take down city walls (it would only cost us one turn to get it down pretty low but GJ can get reinforcements out).

In the likely case that we don't make it, I really want to fight this to the end, so I think going for feudalism is best.

And now we wait for GJ to play to throw the dice (else we'd be double moving him).

Opened up to this, I think it's a sort of compensation for the island stuff.

But who cares ? The important stuff is this :

Let's not get overexcited, there could be a huge stack of guys just behind the city ready to destroy us the moment we get on that hill. But we're also faced with a choice. If indeed we're in a good position here it might be worth it to take the city with our two movers next turn, meaning splitting the stack this turn, sending the 8HAs and the chariot on the hill, instead of giving GJ one more turn to throw longbows in there. And if we're indeed facing a bad situation I'd like to know right away, because the right move then is probably to fall back to MCG and try to defend there. So I'm pretty sure we should send them forward, but I'd like your input on that.

With the turn 119 thing, I counted movement to that tile to go that turn with as many units as possible on turn 119. I counted movement from the last hatches built.

We cannot take the city next turn because of the hill. Will need to jump on it. Also we need to be super careful here of being flanked. If he has a decent ha stack he can run right past us.

Nice on the sugar. I don't get gavagi here though - surely he sees GJs size and geography advantage? If GJ kills us then gavagi is in huge trouble being sandwiched by him and macokti. I would have thought Ivory to us only makes it slightly less uneven but still GJ with a massive advantage. We will see. I would be interested to know if GJ could see our graphs or not, we have put massive ep points in them but it doesn't take much for graphs.

What I meant was that if we were to take our 2-movers ant put them on the hill 1E of where they are now we could take the city with them next turn (in case things don't change during the interturn, which is admittedly unlikely). Anyway you can jump in and take a look, I haven't ended turn so we need to log in anyway.
