Im pretty sure he hasn't 2 whipped. His capital has been at size 6 every turn forever (always on the top 5 city screen) so if he's done any whipping at all its been at one of his smaller cities - so probably only 1 pop whips. I don't think he's whipped his capital once all game, he just curbed growth once it his size 6. maybe he has silver/gold in his capital's bfc? That would explain his high gnp with no cottages that we can see.

anyway, i was saying I'm sure he will start whipping now that he's in a hot war.

both. I think we will end up whipping a settler out of that city and using the overflow to finish the workboat. theIliad really doesnt have the MFG to build chariots, so gilgamesh and theOdyssey are doing the military production duty.

probably it will circle around and fully scout that eastern island, then return to get the fish about the time we get sailing.
which hopefully won't take too long frown.

yes, this is a mystery. I can only think of two answers:

1. he got a little cocky - thought we were just posturing and wouldnt attack with just a chariot (looking at the power graph he knew we didn't have a large army to back it up).
2. he played the turn too fast and didn't even see the chariot (this is probably more likley).

I don't think its a trap, losing 2 workers this early is brutal and maybe worse than losing the city.

You're right - Azza did a 1-pop whip t47, then two 1-pop whips on t59. None of them from his capital.

Had he ended turn when we attacked? If so anything he whips won't show up until after our next move will it? So the only way he can take back the workers is if he finished a chariot normally this turn - which is possible but a bit unlikely. I'd lean towards keeping them...

I'll log in now and see if anything has changed since my previous graph (which looked remarkably similar to yours Waterbat!)

yes, he ended the turn before the attack. although nothing was stopping him from going in and whipping later while we waited for merovich to play.

Can you delete units and whip after you've ended turn in pitboss?

Azza got 1000 power from pop growth (settling Billy Talent) this turn. He also got a no-soldier tech (Myst, Masonry or Writing).

I think he completed the wheel two turns ago (he was only just building those roads - if he had wheel earlier he'd have sped up settling Birds of Tokyo). How long would it take to slow build a chariot in his capital? If it's three turns we could lose the workers so delete them, if it's four you should raze the cities and fall back until more chariots can get there, if it's five (and he doesn't whip next turn) you could take the capital...

I've done a bit of fog-gazing

So I think the capital must be on this hill

heh - it did look similar to yours Harry smile imitation and flattery and all.

The reason i looked at it closer though was that i noticed that the heights for the jump in power on the BW turn and the IW turn were the same. Since you didnt have a warrior or pop growths to go with BW, i knew something had to be off.

I didn't realize you had deduced he got wheel 2t ago - my bad. either way though - its a max of 6 warriors right? It is going to be interesting to see what wanders out of the fog towards us this turn.
