Cool.

I've no interest in having a large quadruped anywhere near me when I'm trying to sneak up on someone to stab them, but utilising one for transport beforehand (and afterwards) seems like an excellent idea.

This is an area where investing heavily in Perception may be a good idea wink. Noticing the attempted ambush in time to dismount before your horse gets scared would be a good thing.

Me? Invest heavily in Perception? Never...

Can I add Mara to the people going off to check the eagle?

I should probably have posted as soon as I saw Ichabod's post rather than put it off till I'd done the stuff I had to do this afternoon, but the sudden turn of speed has taken my by surprise smile

(I ask here, because it seems like rules clarification.)

Yeah, go ahead. I should probably slow down a bit anyway, we're having too much happen while Lewwyn's asleep, for example. And...I probably shouldn't do too much of this while at work regardless mischief

Suddenly all becomes clear wink

I'll bet any of you 50g that it's Mardoc messing with us to bait out exactly the type of unrealistic responses to a bird appearing in the sky as we're showing tongue

Sure but going off crashing sneaking through the trees on a wild goose chase sounds more fun than sitting checking where I packed the food or finding out if Kilthan ever manages to crack a smile smoke

Let's all go investigate and leave Mattimeo alone. Just like in "The Land Before Time"!

Also don't worry too much about me being asleep as long as nothing too big happens and I can just insert my actions in at some point it should be fine.
