I hope you weren't right about this, Retep's victory is not certain at all (at least from what I know), so if this waiting period transforms into a game end it will be the least satisfying end I can think of.

Ok so we finally had a turn, and we got an opportunity to kill off Sian's cuirs !

He attacked last turn, killing a few and having a few losses, but the good news is that our medic survived and got his last xp point he needed for medic 3. I was lucky cleaning up the stack, winning a 35% battle before winning all the 90% ones. As you see he can't really counter this turn. Also I got a GG which went into a pinch cuir.

The interesting part is that we're catching up in power, mostly due to the fact that Sian and Retep are killing each other like crazy.

And last but not least, a lucky low-odds prophet spawned, which means the odds of getting a GA in 6 more turns is quite high !

Looking good! Although if you kill a lot of units you are definitely obliged to post the event log wink
I just hope Sian didn't make a stupid move due to bring sick...
Are there chance s to burn philidor? I guess it would cost at least 4cuirs or you would need to bring in siege, but the strategic value is huge I guess.

The stack NNE of Philidor is composed of a few wounded cuirs, a lot of pikes and 2 cats+2 trebs for collateral. But I doubt I can take the city, as you can see in the screenshot Sian is getting rifling at the end of his turn while I'm at least 6 or 7 turns away from it. Even if he only upgrades one or two units to rifles it will be almost impossible to get through them.

duh. yet another game getting conceded in the most interesting moment frown?

He's not completely wrong, as what he describes is a likely outcome, but 1/ Retep might make a mistake and 2/ Doesn't he realize that he's in the same situation I was in a few dozen turns ago ? He should be trying to give me cities for peace and concentrate on Retep

Here are the event logs of the past two turns.

I took a city from him this turn. Next turn I might get another. But more importantly I made this offer for my part of Grimaceland and the two cities south of Euclid/Archimedes. If he takes it I'm back into the game. I doubt he does but he might.

what a pity you didn't have the movement points to attack that GG...

If he takes the offer, gonna come back at retepbackstab?

Yes of course, although I'm definitely not in position. And he'll see me coming, it's not like I can keep peace with Sian a secret. And I really doubt Sian will take the offer. His message indicates that he doesn't think I'm capable of conquering those cities quickly.

I've thought about it and I don't really see Sian accepting the offer. If this was open diplo I'd negociate to get stuff from him in a peace offer but I don't want to force them to play turns they don't want to play in the off chance that after some turns we'd find a good arangement. The deal would need to happen soon else Retep will have conquered so much that Sian won't be able to reposition his troops in time. So it's not going to happen.
