A galley is 50 hammers a work boat costs 30. We'll need a work boat for the copper city, but if we want to settle the islands we'll need a galley. I can't decide.
City 9 was just to secure the border and give us the possibility of a Marble city. I've switched it with CITY! for now, but it might be worth a discussion later...
Anyway it looks like I'll be on the road before the turn gets around to us, so you might get two turns over the weekend. I'm back around 1500 GMT on Monday and can catch a turn then if it'll last that long (but feel free to play it if you want to).
I logged in to check what I need to tell you and realised I could change the tiles in Blade Runner and the build in Smooth Operator so I did. Sorry!
There are a few things that aren't covered by the micro spreadsheet for the next two turns:
-The scouting warriors - I think they both want to go east?
-The Buddhist missionary is for Blades of Steel
-The names of cities - feel free to change them, otherwise I'll do it when I'm back
-Tech - I've been sticking to 0%, 50%, 100% to avoid beaker rounding, but it probably doesn't matter with the number of beakers we make now. I haven't figured out the numbers too finely - just been flying by the seat of the pants as the new cities keep changing things.
Also if you'd like to add future worker micro to the spreadsheet that's badly needed. We need to figure out which workers are going to be setting up city 7.
Enjoy!

I prefer a galley over a workboat, since it has more long-term use. We can put a chop or two into it so it should finish pretty quickly.

Just played the turn--did it as prescribed in the micro sheet, with the exception that I set tech rate to 60% (since 100% would have bankrupted us, and 60% still gets sailing in the same amount of time).
Our southern scouting warrior discovered more of Trolls' border, so he'll probably come back soon.
Demos also captured
Other than that, not much has changed

Nice one C-H - thanks for covering.
Does anyone know if we'll get trade routes immediately with M3 and Trolls when sailing comes in, or do we need to uncover coastal tiles they own or a city tile?

I think we have enough coastline revealed now to get trade routes with both as soon as Sailing comes in. I'm pretty sure I've read that you just have to reveal coastline up to the very edge of rival borders (like we have with the Trolls). That's how you can get a rival religion spread to you in AW games, since you can technically open the trade route before actually meeting the rival team.

Turn 83
Some scouting
I hope we don't scare Trolls worker too much (see diplo)
M3 have got a spear sitting just in their culture, so we aren't in a position of power militarily. I'll send an archer to reinforce the front lines - our warriors and chariots would be useless against a spear/axe army.
Occam is on it's way to huge.
At Blades of Glory I did a bit of a sim and I think growing to size 7 then 2-pop whipping the forge and overflowing into another missionary is the best way forward, we just need another farm to use. Micro sheet adjusted. You might also be able to see the M3 axe which didn't leave our borders last turn. I believe their excuse (see the diplo thread) but I think we should get to see their copper city as a suitable reparation. Any thoughts?
SC grows onto the new farm next turn
BR whiped 1 chap to finish the library and will grow back this turn, start a work boat next turn.
SO grows and will start a worker next turn
Blades of Steel will finish the granary next turn with a chop, what do we want next? It's going to have good production with the wheat and horse and four hills, so perhaps a barracks or use the six forests on a wonder? We could also do with more workers and settlers.
Power
Demos
So today's questions are:
1 - What do we want to do with Blades of Steel after the granary?
2 - Do we ask M3 for sight of their copper city, present it as a fait acompli or just sit quiet?
3 - Sailing finished when I ended turn getting us an extra 7 commerce a turn from both Trolls and M3 - so we could get Maths followed by either Calendar or Currency, what do you guys want?

I'm surprised we're so high on the power scale--though our neighbors are higher than us (granted, we don't have our copper, and presumably both M3 and Trolls have copper already).
Now for your questions:
1. I still like my idea of chopping out a forge, then moving to military until we improve it beyond the resources--maybe we could even fit a barracks in there if we want to push it/we don't have the copper hooked up yet.
2. I don't see any reason to anger M3 any more, at least until we hook up copper (what's the ETA on that btw?).
3. Math to Currency seems like the obvious answer--how much would we get from Calendar? We don't need the happiness since we have HR, and we only have two calendar resources regardless (one of which isn't even settled yet). I have no idea where we go next though, but that will cover us for a couple weeks

We have a couple of chariots, but yeah they haven't begun pumping military yet have they?
1. Aha! I'd forgotten you said that - I like it. Maths will be about eight turns for more powerful chopping. Until the borders pop we've only got the wheat to use so a 1-pop whip might be handy too. I'll have a look at how it could fit on the micro sheet.
2. Should we at least explain our position so they can see we haven't broken any deal? We could also moot a NAP extension, now that we have our front cities in place (nearly ), perhaps to t130?
Our next settler is coming eot88 and could settle the M3 front or copper on t91. We can maths-chop another settler from OR about t91 which could then settle the front or the copper on t94. I think it'll take about 2 turns to hook up the copper after settling and our NAP with M3 expires turn 100. So which order do we settle them?
3. Agreed. I think the only other option is Horseback riding which saves us having to settle copper so soon but I like maths for chops and currency will get us at least an extra 12 gold a turn.
