Going forward my plan is to either be in the stream live or watch it later, and then go in and get screenshots and report on the more interesting parts. I wasn't able to do that last turn due to travel, but will do so for the current turn and most going forward.

Or a video where someone takes about 10 minutes to narrate through what are the major things going on.

Logged in, and accepted Univers offer (OB and a maps trade). We now have visibility on the core of all other teams! Big-ass maps:

WPC and Univers. Note that Apolyton's western border isn't visible east of Univers. Univers has roaded the ivory 4W of Epsilum, but not connected it yet.

CFC. Note the empty area between them and WPC. CFC still has some sizeable backline to expand into, though mostly low quality. See also how CivFr is about to expand into the desert border area.

CivFr and CivPlayers. Seems CivPlayers started further south than I had surmised, and then moved even further south, which can explain their slow expansion towards us. Both teams have some backline to expand into.

Apolyton. Has basically run out of land to expand into, unless they go for the arctic iceball islands (they do have circumnavigation and the Colossus, so it's quite feasible for them), but given that they're in heavy military buildup right now, I doubt they're thinking in that direction.

I've removed some signs for cities we now have visibility on, and added some more for new tentative cities.

The proposal that the war between CFC and CivFr should be ended failed. Note that there are basically two teams with substantive votes right now, CivFr and CivPlayers, which is quite good for us. I think the AP victory is blocked right now - CivFr doesn't have the diplo affinity to pull it off, and CivPlayers will be blocked by CivFr.

Some city notes:

Mansa's Muse: how long to run starvation? We have enough for 8 more turns.

Gourmet Menu: draft or whip catapult?

Tree Huggers: can 2-pop whip the cat this turn, but it will delay re-growth. Whipping next turn will turn it into a 1-pop whip. What about putting aturn into the courthouse, and whipping the catapult next turn?

The Covenant: whip AND draft?

Starfall: draft

Ditchdigger: whip AND draft (draft first, then whip)

French Riviera: whip catapult

Frozen Jungle: whip AND draft (draft first, then whip)

Let It Snow: whip

Catherine: hold for now, draft and whip next turn

Winter Wasteland: draft? whip cat. Put either musket or mace on galley.

Mano y Mano: whip

Doppelgänger: I'm torn on whipping this city, I think I'd rather grow onto some immature cottages to whip away.

Our cities:

Some diplo screens. Haven't checked for new techs yet.

We are currently making 240gpt at max gold. That means we aren't that much behind Apolyton in the ability to generate gold, and we still have lots of room to grow (lots of partially built courthouses, no banks, plenty of small cities), while Apolyton has little room for more economic growth.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Poly built their Forbidden Palace in their border city with us. They seem confident.

The AP victory is also blocked because Buddhism hasn't spread to WPC. (Note that only six teams voted.)

Does that mean we can retroactively claim that we denied WPC cities to prevent an AP vote? tongue

Lol@ FP build. Why are they wasting hammers on that?

Adding a few things to what kjn posted above...

Here's an 'action shot' alongside the log. In the west you can see the forest we chopped outside Let It Snow while in the east you'll notice our mace has destroyed the last barb archer and razed the city for 8 gold. Rifling will be here in no time! Noble, do we have plans to bring this unit home?

kjn posted the F1 screen, so I'll just add for the curious that Horse Feathers completed a musket (Noble, this city has a stable, right? We're considering knights here too?) while The X Factor completed its granary. I imagine we'll have many more items complete next turn due to whips.

Here's the military adviser focused on muskets. Fortunately almost all of the current 20 we have on hand can make it to the east to help stop the civplayers stack cold and then be reassigned. I think we were sending units to the CFC border too soon before (we only need enough fortified units to stop a mounted attack since we're never going to let CFC apply cannon collateral to Starfall if we can help it), but we will need to keep in mind we have 9 turns to get the defenders we want assigned to that front over there. Probably the best plan is once units won't make it for the civplayers battles to send them where they can cover both the Apolyton likely attack path as well as make it to Starfall in time, preserving flexibility in case CFC signs a new NAP with us. As others have said ideally we'll also arrange our drafts so that cities nearer to Starfall are drafted last, but we may not have that luxury due to happiness concerns.

kjn also posted the tech diplo screen, so I'll just add two notes. First, UCiv only made about 75gold last turn. That's....not a huge help to us (about 1t each off Rep Parts and Rifling). CFC ran through 300 gold last turn, suggesting they're only 2t from Steel (T169). That completion date puts them right on my estimate of how many turns they'd need to have 10 cannons in our lands on T176 with aggressive whipping. How many whips CFC preforms on T170-171 should give us a good sense of their attack ETA, all assuming Scooter isn't successful in his diplo machinations. Another CFC thought Noble - do we have a 'they can scout us but we can't scout them' deal? Just trying to figure out the chars in our land giving intel to our enemies...

I don't think I've seen the statistics screen for a while, so I thought it might be interesting to include. No commentary except it provides a good example of how much low-hanging infrastructure we have available should we get a short military reprieve.

Finally, here's the Apolyton border with culture drawn in post- The Gauntlet being conquered. While I assume Apolyton will bring plenty of workers with them, we still probably should make their lives difficult and raze the X'd roads as soon as the city falls. Something for our obsolete units to do I guess.

Thanks, good tactical report Sunrise. More thoughts. I don't think there's any reason to burn those two roads, because they can move the bulk of their stack onto the tile 3-tiles through neutral territory on the very same turn they take Gauntlet. Because we are not letting CPers cat and rifle down our puny musket stack.
