I love Philosophy. I understand most of it and have drawn from most of it to shape my own world view. Even Nietzsche, despite being a practicing Roman Catholic. But German philosophy after Nietzsche is vexing.
I had a German-born philosophy professor (complete with a very thick German accent). He was a real sweetheart, sharp as a tack, and fortunately had a greater sense of humor than Germans are generally known for.
