Or could you be interested in the Egypt plan that I floated?

With China, maybe research BW straight, pull a double worker opening, and chop that settler at size 2? The second worker should take just 8 turns. Don't know if this also works with Egypt our settings here. Might also be that it burns through too many forests and we should rather grow and whip

I was thinking in china actually. Having agri plus mining will allow us go into BW right the way. Also it reminds me the pick of noble in pb56, before that i thought xhina would anly fit with a PRO leader.

I think egypt is too slow we would need mining and bronzeworking. Its true that china would need wheel but not as one of the first tech i think.

I dont remember the plan with egypt

The only problem of getting fast a second settler is the need for roads, not sure if we have the time to get bw and wheel, both are expensive

Egypt plan was rather simple, shrine Confu with an obelisk, profit. That way you get a shrine but can still avoid the religious line, whole getting a fast and easy prophet.

Meanwhile enjoy early security from War Chariots, with the option of an early conquest attempt if we start by the right neighbour.

How much do Mining/Agri/BW cost with these settings?

But bulbing CoL or just getting there slowly?

I think getting obelisk being Cre doesnt make much sense i would say.

How do you bulb CoL? I don't like Oracle with Cre, because that whole tech branch is pretty uninteresting for us, and it's a distraction. Just beeline CoL through Currency straight, with sailing as the only possible off path tech.

An obelisk is 15h in one city, so shrug? And actually, 3 culture in a border city can be significantly more annoying to a neighbour than 2. But of course we wouldn't build very many. And you have to decide if you even want a shrine. I think I've never built one in MP.

I like the one of pb60 and pb61 we did. But i dont think its essential. I think this map will be small so i dont really think it will be good. PB 60 and PB59 are big maps so the shrines get better there, not sure if this would be a good map for it.

Getting col either way is something we want since we are org so i dont think its anyhow a bad option.

Yeah, the question is just whether we want the shrine. I don't think there's a good way to get one without Egypt (Or Arabia lol). Because you don't want early priesthood, and then you already built a library and want to get your GA scientist, and then you can only hope for a low odds prophet. (Actually, with Egypt maybe Academy->shrine->GA could work? You'd need 2 cities, one doing the scientist while the other one gets started on the prophet, then the first one works 4 specialists to get the 300GPP GP for the GA. That does tie up a lot of citizens as specialists though)

I think we can go without shrine. How strong you feel is that play?
