Charriu is correct.
Mountains, like hills, grant one additional tile of vision in all directions. However, unlike hills, for mountains that one additional tile of vision is not blocked by flatland forests.

Gavagai during the VERY short time he had that city under his control (like 4t max?) Had named it Putin i believe, or Stalin or something. So, i had to respond in kind.

Last turn of golden age. Was able to grab Alphabet/Currency and going to be about 1/3rd of the way thru CoL. Grabbing it for courthouses, but MOSTLY for the religion. On my way to Knights, ill be building a temple in the capital and running a priest specialist to get myself a shrine. Courthouses + Shrine income should let me war for awhile. Knights should let me take most/all of Gavagai and pick a direction from there. If Ginger and Commodore lock horns for awhile ill head that way, if Amica and Gavagai keep their war up ill head that way. Either way... Im thankful for Amica and Gavagai to be at war so i dont have to continue to produce military. ALSO, i love that Gavagai's holy city AND mids' city are the same... and my first target/closest city..

Leptis seems like a weird city spot. Are you going to be putting a city to the north soon?

Got nothing going to the north of Leptis. Ive got 1 filler city to grab the tundra deer to the north/west of Leptis far down the line. Leptis is the best medium-long term position i believe for that city. Just a 10t delay on getting the Deer hooked up due to border pop.
City to the far north/west to grab the clam and work some minor other tiles will be coming soon, followed by going to the shore/island across the sea to the west.
