I think we should farm before chopping, given our yummy preimproved tiles.
We could beat Ad hoc to a religion. Say both Ruff and Ad hoc research Meditation. Ad hoc finds out on T6 that he's beat, but by then we're already one turn into Polytheism.
At any rate, there's no point in switching away from the town until T5. We'll have lost one turn on our worker for the gain of 25 commerce.
I have to run.

Did a bit of simming. We should be able to finish two workers, most of stonehenge, and settle a second city by t40. We can finish Poly and still have BW by the time the first worker is done farming, assuming we work the town the first 15 turns. Grow on stonehenge, whip a second worker with overflow and a chop into a settler, grow back to size four on stonehenge, second chop finishes settler.
I have to run.

Oh hello, where did Stonehenge come from?
Well if you've simmed it, let's do it. My thinking was just that training two workers with a chop wouldn't be that far behind in completing the farm. It would soon catch up.
Ok, I had a quick go - maybe it is a bit slower not farming first. Also, I don't know how you set up that game, but I got a conquest victory in a short few turns, without actually doing anything!
One thing to note that if we do get a religion, the second border expansion, which covers both the marble and the stone, comes in time for the completion of masonry, so the second city need not necessarily target them in that situation.

Impulsive trait, remember.
I'm not necessarily saying we should finish stonehenge, at least not right away. It's just something to put hammers into while growing. We could build a bunch of warriors instead, I'm not sure how many warriors we want/need.
We're not expansive, so we need two chops to finish a second worker. The farming can't wait that long.
I also simmed what happens if we switch to the rice on T5. That speeds up the first worker by 2 turns, and the net result is the first settler three turns earlier.
I have to run.

I did a final sim and was able to get the second city founded by T35. That requires switching to BW this turn though. (and switching to the rice on T5.)
Why does that make a difference? Because it allows us to adopt slavery while the worker is farming the wheat, minimizing the loss from anarchy. This lets us squeeze out the second worker one turn earlier, which in turn lets us finish the settler on T34. This sim also lets us build a second warrior before stonehenge (as we don't have mysticism yet at that time).
So I guess we should take a(nother) long hard look at the demographics this turn and decide if we want to abandon our religion run already.

I never thought of that one. I'll now keep it in mind for the micromanagement bag of tricks.

I'm happy (and amazed) to be able to contribute, T-Hawk!
We have the save. Demographics are unchanged since last turn. So again, Ad Hoc is going for a religion, and either Ruff is too, or Pegasus is researching Pottery, or TT is researching Archery. (TT couldn't be researching AH as he would be getting a double pre-req bonus). So realistically Ruff is researching a religion too. That means to get a religion we would need for Ad Hoc and Ruff to go for the same religion (50% chance) and for us to go for the other one (50% chance) for a combined probability of 25%.
Combined with an opportunity cost of a five turn delay on our first settler, I'd say we switch to Bronze Working now, and try to pick up Judaism later.
