Seconded. Too many games spreads the interest and creates burnout. Look at how few lurkers some of the later PBEM games are getting. There's no rush to crash through as many Werewolf games as possible. The forum will still be here after another finishes to run a third. smile

Miller roles I don't like. It's a normal villager, but is a little more screwed over. It can kind of work if the wolves don't start all knowing each other though.

Godfather/Alpha roles are interesting though. It works to limit the power of the seer, because they can never quite be sure that their scries are reliable. Behind the scenes networks have to be organized quite differently, and it means that information on roles and scries won't be distributed evenly throughout a network but will be kept to an inner core of trusted people.

Here's a list of some roles

We could always run a less complicated game as #2 and a more complicated one as #3? my FFH one would definitely be slanted towards the "lots of powers" side.

Roles don't really get any more random than the Fool one Selrahc used in game 1 anyway.

Those are the roles I am familiar with. I like a lot of roles, though not too many because that can make the game cluttered. Should still be a majority of "vanilla" roles imo.

I think maybe this is the way to go. Are you wanting to run both? Or would you rather wait to host for your more elaborate game and have Sciz/fire&ice/T-Hawk host?

I'm not gonna host the other since I would've made a similar game to Uberfish's smile

Is the goal here to have lots of lurkers? My sense is that the goal is to provide fun games for players, and for them to "play legitimately and seek additional challenges."

I don't have a huge stake in this, but there is a real difference of opinion about what type of game seems best, and a few people only wanted to play in one or another. If interest was sufficient to allow all camps to have a fun game or games I'm not sure why that would be a bad thing. Of course if one game only got a handful of signups then that would be a sign that we should probably only play the more popular choice, but I don't understand the need to not put the choices out there.

I spent more time on RBWW1 than PBEM13 lately. (Btw thanks Spaceman!)
Took me by surprise as well.
I have to run.
