[SPOILER] Joao of Inca: Time for WAR - scooter's thread

scooter Wrote:Well Nakor shot me a message with the turn saying hello and also saying he met Lewwyn... So that (to me) meant it's pretty likely that we are either:

Cyneheard-Lewwyn-Nakor-scooter

or

Lewwyn-Nakor-scooter-Cyneheard

What's the difference? Is it a flat map?
I have to run.

Actually you're right, flat map wouldn't make much sense, so I can't imagine it will be flat. In my defense, any posts that I write in the first 3 hours of being awake should be mostly ignored lol.

I guess I'm willing to take the chance. My main fear is that I'll tank my economy from heavy expansion and then take forever to get to Monarchy. I want to get to Monarchy while I'm still teching.

Well another turn came in... I took a quick look at the demo screens to see where we're at in cities. Here's Lewwyn:

We're even. I checked last turn and I did beat him to city4 by 1T, but the short of it is that we're pretty even at the moment. Here's Nakor:

I think he's falling behind a little bit. Top cities:

The two "flooded" cities are Lewwyn, so he has a city at size4. The demos, well:

Finally on top wink. It's actually not very relevant because whipping cycles heavily vary who is on top, but it's nice to see me pop onto the top of the list for a (brief) moment. Quick look at the unit screen:

T20: 1 city, 1 worker
T30: 2 cities, 2 workers

Little dotmapping of the north. Red and blue will probably be my next two cities (in that order), and yellow may wait a little bit. Actually.. Hm. I could settle yellow and go the farm and mines route and just have it pump settlers for basically all of eternity. Something to think about anyways.

Quick shot from the turn played this morning. Chop came in at BB so I swapped to a settler real quick to get it:

I believe I actually swapped to the mine for 1T after the picture was taken, so I actually got more hammers out of this. Note the cottage on the floodplains - and the farm is being cottaged over right now. Another settler is about to complete at AA.

Quick update - T55. AA finished a settler at EoT, and he's headed to the spot mentioned earlier.

BB swapped to a Quecha for 1T to grow to size 4, and then will go back to the settler:

Whoops, nearly forgot.

5 cities
1 settler en route (on the spot - settled t61)
8 workers

Well it's been 10 turns since I've last updated, so here's a couple looks at the demos and such. I feel behind for awhile, but I'm back near the top, but really the fluctuation is all about whipping cycles and stuff - the only person who is truly behind is probably Nakor. So at T65, demos look like this:

GNP is atrocious, and part of that is I whipped off of the gold tile, so that's certainly a factor at the moment. Food/MFG is strong. Graphs:

Lewwyn has been the leader for quite some time as he got a jump on cities founded, but I seem to have edged past him this turn, mostly due to him whipping I'm guessing. Production is different:

This time it's Cyneheard who has been the dominant force here lately - I took a big dive when I placed some cottages and whipped off of my hills (I had a stretch of a few turns where I whipped pretty much everything). Again, you can see Nakor is basically out of the game already.

So that's where things stand at the moment. City count:

Lewwyn - 6
scooter - 6
Cyneheard - 6
Nakor - 4

So yes, we've got a solid 3-horse race going on at the moment. smile
