It actually just occurred to me it might be worth popping that hut up north with a scout instead of a warrior just to ensure a positive result. Wonder if its worth building a new scout just for that purpose. Hmm.

First update in a while, to celebrate the founding of EAST CITY.
I'm going to chop out a barracks for so the city expands quickly in east city, then go about improving the relevant tiles. East City I think is a pretty good non-slaving production city. Its 3 food sources (for +5 surplus) produce in combination 6 hammers, working the copper is another 6 hammers and -2 food, then 2 other plains hills for 10 hammers gives me a +1 food surplus city at size 6, for a total 22 hammers, which I can do once ivory and gold are hooked up. That's real good early production.
On an earlier timescale, I want copper hooked up which requires a border pop, and flexibility in moving food about which means I want those cows for a 3 food (and 3 hammer) tile.
Working on my micro for the next few turns in a sandbox, so I'll probably actually update a lot now that things are happening and there are decisions to be made. Dotmaps to come!
In other news:
My scout won a fight with a bear a few turns back, so has been healing on this forrested hill for the last 4-5 turns. I can just barely see OH's borders through the tile bleed, so this spot (which is where the fight happened) is also decent for just keeping an eye on what they're doing and whether they expand in my direction. They haven't founded a 2nd city yet, so they may yet put it by those cows.
Once I'm healed I'll probably try to get vision on their capital, though I don't think declaring war is worth it for just that purpose. No need to make things overly antagonistic.
I haven't encountered either OH's or Jowy's scout in a while, and from EP's I don't think either has met the other since both keeping pouring all their EP into me. (I actually forgot to check the diplo screen, does that reveal more concretely if they've met each other? I've never tried in multiplayer, I'll do that on my next login). Regardless, its unlikely they both would do that for unclear reasons, so neither of their scouts has either found each other's capital, each other's scout, or my capital. This suggests that one or both of them got eaten by an animal, or that our landmass continues substantially to the south and/or east past OH or Jowy.

Misdid the math cause I thought the copper was on a ph rather than grassland. gh doesn't change much though, same idea applies.

You'll be able to see from F4 if they've met each other.

Whipped the rest of a workboat in my capital and successfully got vision on OH's capital. Completed a barracks in East City and started on a granary. After my cities regrow I'll try to quickly get another worker or two out and then my 3rd settler, simming at the moment to figure out the fastest way to accomplish that.
I have one worker working on a cottage for a floodplain, I've been routinely working a flood plain as a 3-food tile, which is unideal if I could be growing a cottage on it. The other worker is roading between the cities for defense/trade route purposes.
Sorry for the lack of screenshots/pretty pictures, I forgot to take them on last login and my connection is bad at the moment so don't want to try getting on right now.

Starting on my third worker, next turn once my capital is size 3 I'll start the 3rd settler. I have decent amount of hammers into granaries since I've been slow building them while my cities grew.
As you can see my scout has been headed north and is now in my territory, its going to head up north, pop the hut, and then go east to find where Jowy is. Here's to a tech pop.

Oops, forgot the pictures and apparently my screenshot didn't work when I was in game, here's a shot from 2 turns ago? Worth something I guess. One worker put a turn into the wheat (ag finished in 2 turn despite the 3 turn's left line), the road is finished connecting my cities, and the other worker is putting a turn into the PH for a mine on his way to the wheat.
Going to finish the farm, then chop to finish the worker in East City, then go chop/whip (maybe, debating that) the settler in central city once I start it next turn. East will build a warrior while Central builds a settler, who will then escort the settler down to found a city in the south.

Exciting occurrences have occurred!
First, I founded my third city (South City) last turn, its working on a granary (slow-built, 1hpt) until i tech writing, then we'll start on a library for tech//border pops. I'm debating whether I'll birth a Great Scientist in this city or the capital, but I'm going to try to get a capital academy up as soon as possible.
East City (I think I'm just going to write in acronyms from now on, so EC) is almost done with my 4th worker, and will then start on an ax to accompany the settler I'm about to build in the capital.
ALTERNATIVELY, East City will start on a settler right after its worker, and the capital will build a bit of an ax and then a library.
Still working out which one of these I like better. I think I def need the ax for guarding the settler, so either it needs to be whipped out of the capital or built in EC.
I'm going to try to get another settler out in quick succession, EC is just going to be a unit/worker/settler pump for the near future, need to figure out my site prioritization though.
Techwise, obviously finish writing, then I think either try to beeline up to monarch for HR + all my wines, or get sailing and think about where next after sailing.
