Not maphacks to give techs to just one civ over another Bob. I thought maybe you might have thought it more interesting if we ALL got a free tech on our 2nd village or something like that... I.e. not something unfair or illegitimate- just something to spice the game up a little.
Wasn't I on your ignore-list though?

I quoted your post.
That sort of hack would be considered unfair and illegitimate. (Undermining the point of certain civs having certain techs, changing the dynamic considerably, in a way that is beyond player control.)

Hoho! Clownish luck has come full circle!
A Griffon! Run, flee! Maybe our Scout shall escape alive- we shall see!
Meanwhile in our capital grand and fair, more clowns prepare to find what's out there:
Numbers, numbers, do not lie- even the vampires' numbers must soon be overtaken by clownling babies' cries!
Who shall win, we shall see- but for now the numbers indicate a good chance of me!
To maintain our strength, we hope and pray- that the God of joy and laughter might not lead us to dismay!

Northstar

Hi ho, ho he, what is it you do not see?
A Griffon, a Griffon, a Griffon of course- it appears he has not followed our pitiful force!
Meanwhile more brave clowns prepare to explore- to unearth technology, treasure, or perhaps something more!
After those brave souls do depart- more clown soldiers we'll raise, for defense has its part!
And though it may be risky, this is plain to see- perhaps those Warriors will also go out, scrape a knee!
Clownish harvest yet today still have no match:
And with numbers like that- we wonder what plans the vampires wish to hatch!
Meanwhile our rivals abroad do play their part- they have taken clowns lessons of rapid growth straight to heart!
For strength, for success, gladly we pray- but we await what's to come, what foes our God wishes us to slay!

Northstar

Scouts fair our merry capital did prepare!
To explore along the sea, perhaps- where across the waters there is much to see! Perhaps the sites of coastal cities and island-cities to be?
And our capital grows in its jolly laughing numbers:
So long as our fair clowns are so Charming, our birthing-beds are calling!
Clowns brave, clowns fair- the numbers of our merrymen are without compare!
And numbers, numbers, cannot lie- our joyous hopes beyond compare do fly!
Our brave clowns hope and pray- and let out a joyous cry!

OOC: From a roleplaying perspective, expect a little of everything from me. After all, Arcane today could be Philosophical tomorrow, and Spirituaal after that! Although I ought to embody the Arcane trait a little better- I wonder, what's some inane Fall From Heaven 2 lore I could dig up...

Our Scout's task of bringing the Jade Torc home is almost done:
While clowns at home search for knowledge, good women, good food, and !FUN!
Our people's numbers ahead of others do no longer run:
And our search for gold, knowledge, and power has made our GNP number one!
This should be an interesting game- and with clowns at the forefront very !FUN!

(To the tune of a song)
The other day,
I saw a bear,
The other day I saw a bear,
He asked me- he what are you doing over there?
Meanwhile, our Workers fair work on farming the Flood Plains way down there...
Wine-crafting will be the next subject of clownish glee!
And well-fed clowns' frolicking spree has turned to many babies fair to see:
Making Clownish numbers without compare:
Great for all our audiences way out there!

Screenshot tags downsize them to a regular size, and can be increased by clicking on them. For example, this is a [img] tag:
