Two things:
Is there a list of the changes made in 12.1? I've looked all over and couldn't find anything.
Second, what are the normal rules, if there are any, about Hyborem and the Mercurians?

The list seems to be in the v13 progress thread, though I dunno if that matches exactly what's in the patch.

For Hyborem, IIRC we add another unspoiled human player when he's summoned, I think the summoning player has the option to switch if he wants, with the new player taking over his old civ? Or otherwise the new player just plays Hyborem. Not sure if it's the same for Mercurians.

...if you have an unspoiled lurker/dedlurker who is able and willing to join.

Also, I know at some point in the past some technical wizardry was required to make the extra player work properly in a PBEM.  T-Hawk has done it in the past, but he may or may not have the time these days.

Hyborem and Mercurians both are more interesting if you have a human player, but you might want to have them be AI-controlled to avoid the technical/recruiting issues.

Changes for v12.1:
FT goes to +25% trade route, from +50%
Remove the +1% food from FT (Bug)
Vampires goes to 5/5 str, from 6/5
Governors Manors now at Mathematics 
River of Blood now requires Feudalism, gives +3/-3 pop
Warrens goes to -1gpt - Clarification that this is instead of being +10% maintenance

From v13 wishlist thread. Only thing to matter for us is FT change since nobody plays as Vamps/Orcs.

Also human Basium/Hyborem are pretty much impossible (even if you'd switch over to play the civ yourself sadly. I think I recall Q not being able to switch over to play as Hyborem). It's better to keep them AI controlled frown

Thanks for the list of changes Auro, it isn't as much as I had thought. Also kinda too bad about Hyborem and Mercurians, but that's understandable.
