Com and Superdeath are at war and have started putting EPs into each other. Also Sailing is in and we've got routes to Gavagai in all our cities.
Did you want HBR next? Iron working is slightly cheaper, and we should have iron somewhere for axes and spears and if not we can build the crappy Jaguar without it. But horchers are good for flanking cats so I'd recommend going that way...

I think HBR is the better option as we can use it for sneak attacks and forking.

SD *might* have moved his spear out of Skyshine thinking that we only have archers, more likely he has more than one spear. Should I use this chariot to declare and take a look next turn?

Why not?
If he has anything of note then we can offer peace.

There's a spear. I offered peace and withdrew as there's a barb axe for the chariot to worry about in a couple of turns. The good news is that Gav got iron working and offered us his copper. I accepted - in ten turns we can put a couple of axes and spears on the hill S of Skyshrine.
Commodore should have a trade route to us defogged next turn, so it might be worth getting one to him some time soon with our own work boat. He doesn't have alphabet yet, but if he doesn't declare to get past next turn I expect him to get it soon.

Well played!
Excellent news on the copper. If gav is wiling to give it to us he must consider us a buffer and not a potential snack. If we can surprise SD that plan might work so it is worth the investment.
In my mind the best approach is to try and produce 2 axes and 2 spears and send 1 spear to house of thule and the rest to skyshrine.
If we get the first half of the timer and time the production of a spear in Tlateloco to occur the turn of attack we can surprise House of Thule.

Lots of barbs incoming. I hope the spear goes to bother Skyshrine, but queued up an axe just in case (the cap has an uncompleted chariot, archer, spear and axe now - I'll try to complete them before the hammers decay). We beat the axe at 95% and the warrior at 99%.
In foreign news Alhazard got the mids and Commodore got Judaism. Oh and Donovan has taken a couple of cities off RegentMan so we're off the bottom of the scoreboard.
For the Skyshine attack that stack sounds good, getting first half of the timer allows SD to whip though, so you'd better hope there's nothing defensive part-built in his build queues.
I'll play my last turn tomorrow morning, then you're up as soon as you can make it.

I promoted the chariot in the capital to C1 so it can kill this axe if it moves to the corn next turn. I'd recommend whipping the chariot next turn, unless you want to build a barracks first to get xp on the four units in the queue.
Gold is mined next turn, then those workers can cottage the incense SW of Teotihuacan. That city can build the settler for the cows once it hits size 4.
At Tlatelolco you can cottage the wine, then road and mine the gold. Then try to trade it to someone...
Abroad Commodore built the jewish shrine and Donovan took another city from Regentman. Okay, I'm off. Good luck!
