(NO PLAYERS) Lurker Thread

Suboptimal retracts their concession! Canada's thinking about offensive military action! Brazil and Phoenicia might actually raze and nuke each other both down to the point where this game becomes genuinely competitive again! If someone other than Woden wins this game (and aren't we all pulling for Canada at this point) it'll be the greatest game in the history of Civ6. It already might be, to be honest lol.

You know, we don't just have an emergency that lets us declare war on Suboptimal. We have (lesser) emergencies available that allow us to declare on Woden and Ichabod too, regardless of existing DoFs and alliances, if we can make sure we have enough diplo favor to pass them. Grievances and occupation of Suboptimal's capital (which is not guaranteed, but if we can't pull that off none of this is relevant) will put a serious dent in our favor generation and will likely put us at a deficit for a bit, and the others may catch wise if we pull it off the first time, but there's potential for us to launch some out of nowhere surprise attacks (admittedly without the first strike) if we want to.

I suppose I should probably ask the lurkers, though: Is this okay? I'm trying to exploit what is very obviously a bug, that the other players likely have no reason to anticipate. I doubt it matters that I'm mostly doing this to get around my crippling leader "advantage," if this is okay for me then it's presumably equally acceptable for a good civ with the first turn order slot.

What emergencies is he talking about? If they are connected to the nuking it might be intentional.

Funny how Ichabod and CMF overestimate the damage to Woden's core. He has another core in my old holdings which is untouched while Ichabod has not. Taking Osgiliath was a blow, granted, but Gorden Malloy can continue 3 turning Nukes in the meantime.
If CMF can attack into Woden, he needs to either finish the game with a capital snipe (does he then need to snipe my old capital as well?) or get every city which is about to finish a nuke before Woden can "egalize" the Army score again.

Ichabod is right that he fears for his Capital, I wonder when Woden will nuke it, even for just taking it out for 10 turns.

I think they are because of the nuking.

I am sure you have to have all capitals to win domination including your old one. Taking wodens capital would be a blow but wont do much and can it be held.

I do not think so, Woden can always bomb it himself to reconquer when he controls all other 4.

I am glad to see that Gordon Malloy lives up to its potential, sadly it is not me who is throwing the nukes here. :D

I really did not see coming that this game would last that long and we would see nukes in action.

Kinda nice really.
